I love the SOC Big-O don't know why it got such a lukewarm reception when it first came out, could have been the TE weapon set which was a new thing at the time. I do like the added chain look, I nay have to find a old necklace and see what I can come up with. I was not going to buy it, but I managed to get mine for a sick deal so...I snagged it. Originally I was going to do what you are mentioning. What I suggest is hitting a craft store. They have perfect chains for this. I am actually considering making my Moby thingy Anchors even longer or adding some more. You could probably fabricate the whole things really easy. ESPECIALLY YOU!

Ill take a look I'm thinking the tough part will be finding a way to attach the chains to O's skirt with damaging it. Oh and TMZ you should at least take it out of the box, pictures can't convey just how big and nice this figure is. Its not MF sized but way larger then you expect, at least it was for me.

Actually it would not be. You will just want to fabricate the little cylinder that slides in and is attached to the chain. I will see about taking some pictures for you.

It is such an amazing figure isn't it? I love the Moby thingy Anchors the most. This is one of my favorite figures in my collection. It was the Bandai America version that got me into collecting robots and it was this SOC that got me hooked on SOC!

Nice gentlemen. BTW, I bought one of the two posted links in ekizo mandarake for the LF:expansion set thread. Not really what I wanted to pay but still better than ebay prices.

The main figure is indeed one of the best SOC non-combiner. Very solid, big enough size, and sweet joint gimmicks that made this seemingly not poseable design some very good ranged articulaion. I just couldn't get myself to pay more on the accessories than the figure itself.

Yeah. I managed to land the extra set for the same price it was originally sold for. I love it. When I hold it and move it around I totally see the anime in my mind.

Glad to hear so many good reviews on this toy. I also snagged this SOC from HLJ during the past sale. Its still in their storage system, but my 60 days end next week, so I guess I finally get (have) to check out this bad boy in person.

I'm not much of a Big-O fan, although I tried to watch the anime series (and lost the discs!). But, man, he sure looks awesome right there. I like the rivet-work on him... reminds me of Johnny Sokko's Giant Robot with them rivets, sooooo Mechanical. Congrats on your score! zozo-mag Got my expansion set today... Im a happy camper. I tried to forget this set existed after getting GX-48 on clearance but i couldnt help het ;D

Honestly i love the set, for me it was worth it and considering people were paying 120-130 when the set first came out so its not too bad. Haha, for $500 you can get the Max Factory Big O instead!!!! Well the Max factory Big O is not even $500 if you look on amazon its $400. And I didnt pay that for my complete SOC Big O, I paid $100 for the figure (on clearance) and $175 for the expansion parts so yea i was far from $500 and im happy about that.

Its still in their storage system, but my 60 days end next week, so I guess I finally get (have) to check out this bad boy in person. You'll like it. Very solid clicky joints, very big feet and solid ankles for stability, extendable waist, hip, and knees. Good gimmicks on arms, and chest. Got decent diecast and good heft too. It is just an all-around great SOC that looks great, feels great in hand, and very playable. Just wish the extra accessories are not Tamashii Web exclusives, making the figure release very bare bone.

I don't know. The only part from the accessories set that I really wanted was the Moby thingy Anchors and if I had not gotten the set for so cheap I would have made them myself. Super easy! Heck, considering making longer ones anyways! Some of the stuff from the extras is only in the 2nd season and I actually did not ever see that season until after I got this SOC.
BTW. His ankles are awesome. They are just like in the anime.
