True, when you are not happy about the toys, you can skip it. On the other hand, if you are not satisfy and feel regret after buying it, just sell it to others!!

Or... Customize it to your liking (then sell it on Ebay for four times the original price).

Still cannot see how this GX-47P is a must for anyone outside of the die hard COMPLETIONISTS sect. It's a bare bones figure.

GX-47P is kind of cute, but I agree it's redundant. I might pick it up if I find it for a good price, but if I do I doubt I'll bother to buy the regular version.

it wouldn't surprise me if this figure is actually both prototype Energer Z and it brings you some accessory to make Energer Z. i mean all you need to do is remove the pilot figure and put the head on, then ad the chest plates and the back panel and your done, instant Energer Z.

I was staring at this, trying to think of what it reminded me of ... then I remembered! This guy was a pushover in MM1 if you knew the pause trick

Now if they release this and then an energer z in regular colors, that is a problem! too much money for the same thing!

Well.. better late than never. Here's the review for the Gx-47 Energer Z. ;D Box The box is nicely done, in that it's a mirror image of the Gx-45 Shin Mazinger Box (Shin Mazinger's box is thicker though). *Spoiler* It also should be noted that in the show, Energer is actually the same color as Mazinger, it only later changed color when it was about to go into Full Photon Meltdown. Comes with 2 pilots, Kenzo Kabuto (Koji's Father, later revealed to be Count Brocken) and Tetsuya Tsurugi. Hmm.. guess the scale is off? Being of the same body as Gx-45 Shin Mazinger, this figure can basically do all of the same poses. Display base. Comparison with Gx-45 Shin Mazinger. For those curious, the Hover Pileder can't fit into the Energer Z receptacle. Energer Z versus Shin Mazinger Z Essentially, Energer, even not yet in Photon Meltdown mode, kicked Mazinger's Gokin butt. ;D Please click to begin Video playback. With the Gx07e Energer Z The access ramp is different from the Gx07e Energer, it's now lacking the joint, likewise, don't believe the promotion pictures, there's no way to make the Tetsuya/Kenzo bike "stick" onto the ramp. Overall, a decent toy, at first I hated the color scheme based on the promotional images but seeing the toy first hand quickly changed my opinion of it, it is somewhat eye-catching on any shelf and given the choice, I would have prefered this color scheme as opposed to Bandai releasing a straight up black colored Energer Z (again). Comes with 2 pilots, Kenzo Kabuto (Koji's Father, later revealed to be Count Brocken) and Tetsuya Tsurugi. The way you worded this makes it sound like Count Brocken was Kouji's father. I'd like to assure any readers that this is not the case.

great review, love the photography! I also have a review on youtube which should be up on my review link on the RJ home page if you guys wanna check it out anyways, I am the proud new owner of this fine example of chogokin. The paint job is SUPERB. Automotive glossy. What makes this figure awesome is the steps Bandai took to make it more "playable" without the risk of chipping paint. Did anyone notice the teeny plastic ring at the bottom of the leg to protect the feet and cuff from scratching together and chipping? need to see if my other robots have this. also the precise clearance between the waist and chest piece? they look like they are touching and rubbing paint but the precision is perfect to avoid this. Most of my socs were in the lower numbers meaning older... I barely touched my teeny GX-45 which I got together with this one. maybe regular Mazingers aren't doin it for me. this thing looks evil in my display case! gonna get another to hang around my neck then hit the club to pick up chicks. just don't tell my wife

It's a very decent figure with a good amount of diecast and a great paint job, the only downer is that it's a secondary character with almost zero screen time but the color scheme helps differentiate it from the sea of Mazinger figures.
