Read his question again, QJ. He asked if they're made BY metal. Obviously putting forth the question of weather or not they are assembled by robots. To which I say, robots making robots? Insanity! The day robot's are able to build each other is the day humanity ends. Looking at the picture, it looks like the white pieces are plastic and the skin tones pieces are rubber, but what are the red pieces meant to be?

YES! YES! (No! NO! Why are you doing this to my wallet CM's? Don't you know I have to make car payments?) Not JUST Akito's mech from Nadesico: Plus you can see how much diecast they're bringing to the table. Not too shabby. I just hope these are ~$100 and not more . I don't mind if they're small, CM's, just don't break my bank. Pics from ToysdailyDaigouji Gai and Akito's Pods. Aerial Frame and Land Battle Frame from the early part of the series. The Pods are meant to switch to different frames. The Akito Pink space frame from the BANDAI Black Sarena SPEC set is a really good representation already. I'll get this if it promises to have better leg poseability.

Production limbo? LOL, I've been waiting for news about the CMs Brave Dagwon for about... oh.. 3 years now.. Sad really. I do hope it gets made along with the rest of the prototypes. At least Jeeg made it out so there's still hope.

I think that's how CMS prefer to do it... Release a teaser pic, and suddenly, you get a figure that is ready for release.
They like to give their fans surprises.

If I wasn't broke this summer with refurbishing and changing furniture at home I could go for it, for sure it'll look great next to my metallic version Gakeen. Any improvements or they're just back on producing the original?

Booyaaa! I'm gonna get this one with anime color. Is this actually the regular version, or the limited version that will be reissued?

Based on the link that Boricua posted, it seems to be the regular version, no idea if it will have any improvements (ala Cm's GGGG?) but seems doubtful. Edit: whoops, my bad, it's the Anime Color version. Gold

this is the anime color version, which was the more expensive limited version when it got first released. the metallic version was the standard cheaper version back then.

I think it's a good news that CM's started to reissue their limited version brave gokin. I hope they'll do the same with the Baldios limited anime color version Been hunting for that for a while with no luck. OOT, anybody heard any news regarding the release of CM's Tekkaman? I saw the painted prototype has been displayed at the last fest.

Looks like just a re-run to me, just to go with the Jeeg releases, since Gakeen is their other better Magnet Robo release. It would be ton of fun to have both Gakeen and Jeeg sets all laid out and do some crazy frankenstein combo (I have yet tried it myself since my Gakeen accessories are in closet hiding).

Do you think by any chance this reissue of Gakeen will come up with better magnetic joints? Since they have improved in Jeeg release.

Its just my personal assumption, but not likely. Gakeen's magnet joints are pretty good to begin with, and the major ones are on neck, shoulders and hip. Elbows, knees and ankles are all normal joints, so they don't have the plagued issue of Baratak. In a way, Gakeen is actually more stable than Jeeg. On Gakeen, the magnet issues comes in with the little robots. Their magnets are quite small, and has no 'knee covers' or 'ankle covers' that was made specifically for Jeeg, so they are fiddly. And when they become the arm weapon on Gakeen's arm, the weight on an entire arm is just too much for Gakeen's smooth shoulder to hold it straight (therefore they give you a stand for doing that). I doubted even Jeeg's teethed shoulder can hold the weight (little robot has some diecast to boot). But Gakeen can still hold those guys without dislocated shoulder. You just have to have the elbow bend, with arms drooping down.
I was always impressed by Gakeen's execution. It doesn't have fancy engineering, but it works for a diffucult task (magnet joints for heavy diecast figure). If Gakeen is made with mostly plastic like the old Takara Jeeg, no doubt it will be super solid. Just that Jeeg demands even more because of the more magnet separation, so CM has to come up with something more, to keep Jeeg stable (those joint covers and the teethed shoulders).

Ah it makes sense! Also glad to hear that Gakeen's joints are pretty good.
