R ? Repaint ? remold ? Both ?... Did the economic crisis force bandaï to re-use the old molds ?...
If it's just a repaint, it's gonna be the Anime color scheme... -> navy blus turn to cobalt blue... Same paint job Like the the tamashii Gx-01 R+ (with some gradient). Maybe new enginering (remember Voltes V respect version) ?
Just one question, where is Daitarn 3 ?

I'm guessing this is gonna be a GX-03V, and it'll turn out to look a lot like the Respect for Volt set.

GX-03V is fine with me as long as there are major improvements. This robot is definitely one of my faves.

The beauty of Bandai's SOC line: Don't like the latest offering? Wait a few months/years, and you'll get a repaint/re-engineer that you might like. I do hope it's in line with the GX-31V.

Actually, looking at the promo pic, it says "Full Model Change", so I retract my earlier statement. It looks like this is gonna be a totally new mold.

There are pictures in the 3rd SOC book of Combattler done in the "Respect for Volt" style with the numbers and name on him. It said in the book, "2008 Tamashi Nations," so there must be some modifications if it got pushed back a whole year.

To be honest that drawing looks exactly the same as the original.

The only difference I can see from the diagram is the addition of a locking mechanism for the head. The magnet in the old version never seemed to hold the head in very well for me.

And I believe there are weapons that was not included from the old version and it was only release like a limited exclusive or something long time ago.

Hopefully they improve the possiblilty on this(especially the legs) so it will be in line with the GX-31V and GX-43. That would be awesome. Cant wait to see how this will pan out

Yeah I'm thinking it's gonna be just a re-paint. Why would Bandai make a new Com-Battler so many years after it's initial release when they still re-issue the original and make money on it. Plus the R&D needed to create a new version of a already created figure could be used to make something brand new.

Hi all,
It would be nice if the planned new release Combattler V had clear "glass" for the windshields, and goodies like the Big Blast, Ropet the robot etc.
Also, a Nanbarra Connection base would be nice as well, since Voltes V got the Toyz Secret Big Falcon.
Cheers,

Plus the R&D needed to create a new version of a already created figure could be used to make something brand new. That makes no sense. Why would they claim this is a "Full Model Change" (as they did with the GX-45, which WAS an all-new mold) if they just do a repaint/slight upgrade? I think this is going to be a whole new figure.
