Just got my Getter repaint yesterday and I noticed this unsightly paint crack on the left arm (on the upper white part). Do any of your Getter repaints suffer from this problem or is it jut mine?

check the back of the right arm.. it also got the same thing.. all parts from the getter 1 like the legs, shoulder, forearms including the feet were all comes from a single mold, they were all ambidextrous.. i mean it has no left nor right.. and the said crack were also present in my getter 1 first version and it's not a crack.. perhaps it from the mold.. the design sato did in the "ambidextrous mold" were also used in both mazinger and great mazinger's forearms, shoulder, legs, and feet.. they all came from a single mold.. no left and no right.. juts my observation..

I suppose so, as on the other arm, there is a hint of a crack or line in the mold, but barely visible unless you look for it as it's sprayed shut. While on the left arm shown above it gives the impression that the paint had cracked and really visible. Well at leat I can breathe a sigh of relief as it's not just my Getter that has it, but it's a mold thing.

As an FYI, this isn't QC and it isn't a crack. It's a mold line, because the various limb parts are cast in a solid chunk of PVC instead of being two screwed together pieces of plastic.
QC for these figures would be having bits of the shoulder on Getter 1 fall off, having Getter 2's chest piece being two glued-together pieces of metal that come apart from the act of trying to put it on his body, a broken leg fin on Getter 2 because the paint was globbed into the pin hole it locks into and the fin itself being held by very thin plastic pegs, or even having the groin hatch on a Black Getter stuck shut because it was closed up with wet paint.
(These were all problems I had with my own Fewture Getters, by the by)

I just checked mine and yep, both arms have it on both sides (it's hard to see in the front, but it's there if you look closely), which confirms the ambidexterous mold.
And that's a pretty funky angle for a mold line, which is why it threw people off.

What's the difference with the repaint version and the original version?

Also the white parts on the repaints have a blueish hue.

Hey, I have a question this time:
Does everyone have a Getmachine-stand which leans slightly to the right?
