Yeah, I also have a feeling they won't release the other Getters. To bad but I guess the main Getters have always been the most popular ones.

Awesome! Another Getter 1 will be added to my collection!
I'm not too happy with the face sculpt though, the eyes look off to me, should they be angled like that?? Makes him look like a whining little robot......

is it me or the Getter beam compartment will not be available like the ones from Aoshima and SOC GX-06 Getter Robo versions? and they should fix his eyes as well

This one is a must-buy.
Knowing Bandai, unless it is a limited version like Metallic Getter 1, they always release all 3 Getters for each generation. So Getter 2 and 3 are bound to come. Same for Getter Ryger and Poseidon. All versions are from the Armageddon OVA.

Check out the unpainted prototype in this link droutmaster. I wonder if it will come with two different heads. ;D

I hope because the robot is wonderfull except for the head that i really dont like, it's probably the neck sticking out a bit too much or too tin, i dont know but something is bothering me.

Looking at these pics, I remain unimpressed, other than its likely "more articulate joints" I'm underwhelmed.
There's something about its sculpting & paint job that's rubbing me the wrong way and I can't seem to put a finger on it. Aoshima's seem to be more "crisp"
I've also seem to have grown accustomed to aoshima's "weathered paint job" on the Getters this thing just looks sooooooo clean.
I'm hoping that there is a good reason for bandai opting to have painted green panels on it, such as mid-transformation parts swapping modes like GX-06's, as opossed to giving us what aoshima has ( translucent green panels showing off inner chest mechanisms).
Lastly, If this is anything like GX-45 (short on both hieght & accessories, priced like GX-01)...I'm definitely skipping.
It's really kind of difficult to get in to this Getter, when it seems to be below the bar aoshima has set but I guess its too early to tell.
Its too bad though, cause if I end up skipping G 1 I'm likely going to skip G2 & 3

rx79msg, did you see 2 different heads/face from the unpainted prototype from toysdaily's pics? The head from those pics look the same to me.
Not sure if there are other gimmicks to this Getter 1. If the Getter beam hatch cannot be opened and the robot cannot split up like GX-06, Bandai better has some gimmicks so that this is not just a deluxe version of the Getter 1 Revoltech.

Thanks gt3ian, since the uncoloured pics are just 3D rendering prototype, I won't count on seeing that different face. I can't see them including a Ryoma figure with this SOC. How about giving us at least the Get Machine? I really hope there are other gimmicks, but since there is little for GX-49, Bandai may just be giving us the cheaper alternative to the Aoshima Getters here. Needless to say though, it is still a must-buy item for me..

Well for me this is a Godsend, I sold all my Aoshima figures except one Mazinkaiser because I was sick of all the constant re-paints. So for me getting a OVA Getter 1 and a OVA Getter Dragon is a blessing. I can't see this splitting up since I don't see Bandai releasing the other Getters since they did get almost zero air time but you never know, I hope they do, OVA Getter Poseidon was my favorite re-design.

The Aoshima Getters have their pluses too. The weathering paint on my metallic Neo Getter is simply awesome. They also provide other gimmicks. On the other hand, their prices are incredibly high.
It is interesting that Bandai releases the mass-produced Getter Dragon GX-49 and not the one piloted by the invaderized Dr. Saotome that fought Shin Getter inside the body of Shin Dragon. I won't be suprised if that one comes out eventually.

That's possible, but for the most part "evil" mechs haven't sold that well in the SOC line perhaps as a web exclusive. I can see a Black Getter 1, but what I find interesting is that this Getter 1 costs more than the new Getter Dragon albeit by just 2-3000 Yen.

just for comparisons Although the SOC GX-52 Getter OVA is better over articulation over the Aoshima version, the Aoshima has a better mold of the head plus has some gimmicks to it like the Getter Beam compartment and the 2 C0ckpits that it has, one from his chest and the other on the belt not to mention the transparent green panel that allows us to see the inners of the Getter Robo than what we are getting with the SOC version that is only painted plus the color brightness that the SOC has makes my look awkward to it(perhaps is the flash of the camera). but then again, the SOC version is still a prototype so we will have to wait and see if they make other changes on the long run.

I think the paint on the SOC Getter 1 prototype makes it look very plastic-ish... it almost looks like a Revoltech.
