I'm not really all that impressed with aoshima's stuff in general. Ill save some money and stick with the soc version. And I will also get the getter dragon to.

In terms of quality and gimmicks, the Aoshima Getters were well made. I had a couple paint job issues (on Shin Getter 1 and Shin Getter 2 respectively), otherwise they are all fine. Their Getter 1 is more anime accurate than this GX-52.
Having said that, I wouldn't buy the Aoshima Getters at the full listed price. When the prices are between 9000 yen to 18000 yen (the damaged Getter 1 being the most expensive), it is wiser to spend money elsewhere.

These prototypes look better than the previous pics.
I wonder why the head is so different from how it looks in the OVA.

Because it was inspired by the OVA but it's not a 100% accurate representation of it, it's more of a mix of various Getter 1's including the version that appeared in Shin Getter VS Neo Getter OVA.

Can the Aoshima do that flying pose?

nope. the Aoshima is less articulated in comparison to the SOC version
i agree with Chen that perhaps this Getter might be a fusion from all the other getter 1 versions that have been.
but i must say that flying pose looks pretty cool lol

I'm skipping this one, is not worth it imho when you already have the Aoshima's ver.

Well I have to say I am a diecast junkie and the Aoshima getters are full of it. ;D
The Aoshima getters and Mazinkaiser are way heavier than most SOC's that are out there. So im sure its heavier than this version.

Whats with that Getter Dragon in the pics beside Getter 1? It looks like a different version of the GX-51.
