I think the SOC looks better over all, and has better articulation than Aoshima version.
But I do perfer the Getter head from Aoshima and its getter beam function part. The extra getter beam piece in SOC looks lame.

I would take the Bandai SOC Armaggedon Getters over Aoshimas in a heartbeat. Yes, the Aoshima releases probably have more metal content, but as Lurker X pointed out, the added accessories and playability/posability make the difference,. And the fact Bandai is more than likely to release Getter 2 & 3 in my lifetime.

I wonder I difficult it would be to just stick an Aoshima Getter's head on this SOC...
I might just give it a shot when I get it. I was hesitant about getting the SOC, since I already have Aoshima's Getter 1 (three of them, actually, if you count the damaged and training versions), but just the fact that this one can hold its guns straight sold it to me.

How to mount the Getter Beam belly button? Probably just push it in, maybe the stomach is plastic ?

Probably a magnet if the stomach is metal.

How to mount the Getter Beam belly button? It may also adopt the GX-01R's belly missile design...

i would have prefer it had the opening compartment gimmick of the getter beam the the GX 06 has and the aoshima, it makes it more anime accurate.

The original OVA Getter team really didn't look that different from the classic versions, besides that torn cape look on Getter 1 you could just display Getter 2 and 3 from the GX-06 set. What I want is the OVA Getter Robo G team to be completed since they had much more pronounced changes from their classic versions but I have a sinking feeling that the OVA Getter Ryger and Poseidon won't see the light of day unless GX-51 sells in huge numbers and Bandai see's a market for them. But I have a feeling we'll only get OVA Getter 1, OVA Getter Dragon, and Shin Getter 1 since their the "stars" of each team. Hope I'm wrong.

I bet by next year at this time we will have an SOC Getter Quartet. And some variants/Tamashii specials to boot. But you are right: let's wait and see.

That would be just plain MEAN of Bandai to make the Black Getter available as a Tamashii exclusive only! A "Training Color" variant of the OVA Getter 1 -- yes, no problem. But not the Ryoma Black Getter.

As much as I want to like the SOC one more, I think the Aoshima one looks better because of its proportions.
I also wonder what the size is going to be, since the new Getter Dragun was so much smaller than the original. So the Aoshima might actually look better beside the original SOC Getters than this one. Time will tell...
