Utter insanity, I say!
but er... doesn't the "head" look "fat?" I'm just being picky since I hold the standard up to Wizard's AT-AT "Enormous" gaming miniature which is just perfect (except for the fact of being a totally static display piece).

It's nice that it's bigger, but definitely not to scale.

The AT-AT is still my favorite SW vehicle/ship. All these years later, and I still think it's a beauty. I will buy this -- and I do not even collect SW figures!

I watched Empire last night - because it was Valentine's Day and ESB is the most romantic movie ever. Don't believe me? Just watch the scene when Han is being prepped for carbon-freeze. Instead of saying "I love you too" he says "I know" and you look in his eyes. You know it, I know it, he knows it, an you can bet that Leia knows it too. Anyway, it occurs to me that scaled to 3-3/4 inch figures, an AT-AT should be just over 5 feet tall. That's based on the Star Wars Miniatures game - the AT-AT for that was about a foot and a half tall and it was to scale with their 1-inch tall people. I'm just saying... don't hold your breath for Hasbro to make one. ![:)](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/smiley.png)

I too have the gaming miniature version AT-AT. It really is prefect display piece - great paint job, detailing, great proportion and size, for this sort of money! I am a little disappointed with this new Hasbro : Vehicles : Super Deluxe Vehicle (AT-AT). Simply because it has a BIG head! Why?! Just because they needs to open the head up to stick some silly looking figures in it! If only they scale down the head (forget about open it up), the whole AT-AT proportion would looks so much better.

On a completely unrelated note - I notice the "front window" is red on this toy... which is interesting to me because I have noticed before that a lot of artwork colours it red as well even though a vast majority of footage from the movie shows it plain black (there are one or two shots where it glows red, though).

I can only say for the US market, I got one for some reason last month in TRU, at a sale of $90! Same price as the previous standard version.
One thing I've seen now, is there are two boxes. The one I got is full color pics all around with a window cutout on the front to show the driver, and speeder inside. The other one in the store now, is the "Star Wars Vintage Collection" box, with only a color pic on the front, with the rest of the box in old-school plain white, with black/blue drawn in outline art.
And as for proportions? This thing looks fantastic! You see it, and yell "That's an awesome big AtAt!" I haven't heard anyone, in person, say a peep about the sizing.

I saw the "vintage style" boxes at ToysRUs here in Ottawa Canada last week. They're gone though - I guess there're probably plenty of collectors in the city keeping a close eye on sales because for the next 2 weeks, Toys R Us Canada is having a Buy-One-Get-Second-One-Half-Off deal on any Star Wars products that cost $15 or more. Which, on a side note, is great for those of us who've taken up army-building since a new 4-pack of Clones called "Anti-Hailfire-Droid Team" came out. So I got that and the hover-tank vehicle (which, with the deal, saved me $17).

I've only seen it at TRU over here in Vancouver.
I saw one...and bought it. I also picked up the Snowspeeder to get some kind of discount with the buy 1 get one half off sale. It wasn't much of a discount but I wanted the unneutered version anyway.

The AT-AT is definitely not build to scale, its made up mostly plastic, build quality is excellent, and its the biggest I have seen in the market so far. The speeder bike that came along with it, unfortunately, is poorly made, the handle bar is exceptionally soft and flimsy. And fitting a biker scout on top of it can be quite a challenge. But I have absolutely no complaints on the AT-AT and it's so durable that it allows me to have hours of fun with my kids and not to mention burring a hole in my pocket as I attempt to snap up any imperial snow troopers I can get my hands on in local toy shops. Noticed that the snow troopers have became one of the most coveted action figures locally since the released of the AT-AT!). And now my kids are asking for rebel troopers !
