Try ebay, under the "Buy It Now" option so that you won't have to deal with any auction hassles. Also check Hobby Link Japan (HLJ), AmiAmi, and Big Bad Toystore (BBTS) to see if they might still have any in stock. I believe AmiAmi still has their free shipping deal for this month. zozo-Magengar

Thanks! I saw one on ebay for buy it now but it was for like 60 something dollars! I've read that some people picked this guy up for a mere 20 bucks! I cant find that kind of deal anywhere though. But if i really want this figure it looks like I might have to suck it up and pay the high price.

Yeah in the past these things were going for dirt cheap prices but now I guess it's been out of production for awhile and Giant Robo's popularity has caused prices to rise, wish I hadn't sold mine.

Well i just broke down and bought one on ebay for $54 plus shipping. It was my only choice the other one was going for a whopping $80! I hope this thing is worth it. But with almost 90% diecast I had to have this guy.

You should be happy with it, it's no SOC but then again if it was it'd be over a hundred bucks. It does have a fair amount of diecast and reminds me of a Aoshima Gokin toy.

Has anyone use this site before? So far checking this site, it seems like a pain to have anything shipped outside US.

I picked this guy up for under $30 a few years ago. I don't think he had a single joint that wasn't super floppy and I finally tossed him when the peg for his hand broke and was stuck in the wrist hole.

I've never used that site before. But I would have if they excepted PayPal. The price was cheaper than the one i found on ebay.
Has anyone else had a problem with floppiness with this figure?

You'll be happy with him. Just treat him with lotsa TLC, and he won't committ suicide. ;D A couple years ago I bought one damaged, for $10. (NOT the previous owner's fault!) ...It was already damaged from shelf-diving (broken at the waist, and shoulder) but I repaired it... magengar.multiply.com/photos/album/3/My_Robot_Army#photo=4I apologize for the bad quality of my pic. It's a beautiful diecast figure, and quite "heavy". Nonetheless, I luv it very much because it also reminds me of my early collection adventures here at RJ. It stands really nice next to my Mazinger GX-01R SOC; and it fits in well amongst SOC displays if you were to make a custom "Bandai SOC Display Stand" for him. It also stands nicely next to my Johnny Sokko vinyl GR version. The body is mostly diecast (except for his kilt, and his backpack jet engines; and the red rivot strips over his shoulders are made of soft rubber and they come off so you can add the missiles and whatever other accessories onto his body)... The articulation in some areas are ratchet-jointed so he holds his poses very well. Throughout his body where the diecast parts are assembled together: you might notice the screw holes are plugged in with matching blue hole-plugs... that is to hide the screws so the figure doesn't look unsightly with all them screw holes showing. If you can still afford to buy these at their current prices today, get both versions while you can, before they go into the Black Hole of Obscutiry... ...as Chen stated, these have been out of production for a while. There's only so many left where ever they're available. zozo-Magengar

Yeah you're right everywhere I looked they were either sold out or someone was asking a ridiculous price for it. Glad I didnt wait too late to grab this guy. Thanks for the info on the figure.

Welcome to page 2. ;D
I can't remember how long ago it was; but someone here at RJ mentioned that he had one (I forgot which version he had) that was missing some accessories, and so he used accessories from the other version... ...sorta like a kit-bash/part swap thing he had going on with his GR figure. It seems you can mix-n-match accessories between these two GR figure versions. ;D

So the Bazooka version still has the attachments for the missiles? I wanted the Missile version but I have to settle for what I could find. Why didnt they just include the bazooka with the Missile version if thats the only difference in the two? Or is it? Is there more than just the weapons thats different?

I stand corrected about the "part-swapping" between the two versions:
The Bazooka version doesn't have the missile mounts; it has a giant bazzoka that mounts on his backpack. The Missile version of course has missles (no bazooka). Each version comes with a different Ginrei figure. Both versions look almost identical, just different accessories and Ginrei figures.
You're right, Yamato should've just bundled all these accessories and Ginreis into one product instead of making two versions of the same thing. I guess that was just a money-making gimmick to promote the franchise; but then still, the anime series itself seems like it didn't achieve much popularity at the time. Having two versions of the toy didn't really do much help for the franchise.

I have a spare bazooka version if anyone is still interested. The box has some wear, but the figure is MIB - never removed. PM me. I thought I had sold it long ago, but the seller backed out, and I found it boxed up hidden in a corner of my dining room. Pics: As to parts swapping, I combined my other set into one sick figure! Yes, you can use parts from both without altering the bots. You can see it here. This is a pretty old pic and he's not to large in the photo, but hopefully you can get the gist of it.
