You might be glad about that though... the new one is going to be around $250.

For the price tag, this one might have more diecast. But why would it be released under the SOC line instead of the SOP like the original one??? Hmmm...

Whoa Was seriously not expecting this, Nov release. So I guess that means it'll be the last SOC of the year...? Bummer, was hoping it would be Mazinkaiser SKL Gold

It'll be interesting to see how it differs from the similarly priced SOP version. Either way, it's probably an easy skip for me. Bring on the Tobikage dragon guy for 10000 yen though!

I doubt this will be the last Bandai SOC release of calendar 2010 -- don't they usually surprise us with some type of variant(s) at the end of the year? As for GX-57, that does nothing for me. Actually very surprised it's in the SOC line.

23,100 yen... it seems quite expensive. Don't think I will get one unless there is a big sale.

It will have to be practically a brick of diecast for me to consider it at that price point. Surprised it's part of the SOC series also.

man, another remake/reissue? the space battleship yamato is my childhood favourite, but cant we have something new? they just reissue the yamato not long ago for crying out loud and its still very good for a pretty old soc piece, what new features can we possibly expect from the gx-57 then? able to take off on its own and fly into space?? or blast the person who is criticizing it to bits ?? C'mon bandai! They were doing pretty good with daitarn and the ninja series, and should keep the momentum going, instead they choose to remake something which i find is already very good so that they could market it inline with their new anime (which i have just found out from this trend and will be on active lookout for it when its released in dvd ;D ).

It's strange this ship belong to the SOC line... It should be a PX model in the Soul of Popynica Line... I though SOC line was dedicated for vintage robots... It's a kind of black sheep in this collection.

It is cretainly strange and odd. It should be Soul of Popynica or even DX line as some of the Macross toys...
I was hoping GX-57 would be Shin Getter or Mazinkaiser!

Before we start jumping out the windows I'd actually wait and see the official word from Bandai. GX-57 is still a long ways away and this could either be a new release or a just a re-issue of the SOP and it's getting screwed up in the translation.
