I can already hear my wallet crying.
Bandai please release Andromeda!
Since it's Yamato Anniversary year, how about the Comet Empire or Desslok's ship?

Ok now that's just plain dirty.
I'll have to sell my BPX-01 and get these 2 !
Why couldn't they just do a BPX-02 ?

It baffles me why these aren't SOP but I guess the SOC brand name is just so strongly connected to high end collectibles that Bandai is cashing in on it. Also looks like there taking Aoshima head on in the ship market.

what? the wings are not pop out but attachments? Many of the BPX=01's (mine included) had problems with the retractable wings. Not the most creative fix by Bandai, but at least they seem to be acknowledging the problems with the SOP Yamato (I hope.) I was on the fence about the SOC Yamato due to the price, but the accessories are really selling me, and I about died when I saw the Andromeda. I've been waiting for that since...FOREVER. I'm finally excited about the SOC line again! Haha.

I have the first release of the Daigokin Andromeda, it is a hell of a chunk of chogokin, the turrets are movable, but Bubkis accessories..
I really like it thoug, and I just ebayed Desslar's flagship, also a Daigokin last week.
Since I do not have the BPX-01 because it is too plasticky, I will get it and assemble my Matsumoto collection with the Arcadia, the Queen Emeraldas from Aoshima, The GX-57 and the daigokins, NICE ;D ;D ;D ;D

The SOC ANDROMEDA is a sure buy for me! The Marmit one is just way too expensive for my taste.

Well....we don't know how much of the GX-57 will be die-cast, given bandai's track record.....I'd bet on Aoshima or Marmit to deliver on hefty die-cast than Bandai.
For me the marmit one maybe an option, as I'd probably have to sell my BPX-01 for about $100or so less than what I got it for......compensating for the additional cost of buying the the pair of SOCs which will likely cost me at least $300+

I also have the BPX-01, but there's no way I'm selling it, even after I get the new GX-57. That would be like selling the GX-01 after the GX-01R was released. Nope, I'm holding on to both...

Yeah I'd bet the Aoshima or Marmit will be solid bricks on the other hand they will lack the features of the Bandai version like sound and little accessories. Surprisingly I found the lack of backlash that Bandai put ships in the SOC line refreshing, it seems some posters go apeshot if the next release isn't the one they want. Personally I could care less if they put ships in the line, it just means Bandai is expanding for the future with long term plans for the SOC line plus it gives my wallet a much needed rest.

I also don't care if this new Yamto belongs to SOC.
However. I just concern Bandai is trying to move their future release 'robots' to the (cheaper and smaller) Super Robot Chogokin line, and move SOP items to SOC line.
Eventally, no SOC robots will be released in the future. And SOP line is going to be terminated.

I wish Bandai kept the Soul of Chogokin line just for Classic Super Robots. However, since that did not happen, it is a mute point now. Anyway, at the end, it doesn't matter which line Bandai releases their products under, as long as they are great products.

Please no electronic sound effects; they are usually extremely cheezy and lame. I mean if it was Doraemon, ok because he is goofy. But Yamato battleship? Please no.

That was actually one of my favorite features from the SOP Yamato. The wave motion gun sound effect and the flickering light inside the barrel of the cannon. Lanmandragoran - Please post some pictures of your Daigokin version of Desslar's flagship if possible when you get it. I've seen promo pics of it, and it looks awesome. I'd love to see some pics of it in a regular setting.

Andromeda being GX-58 brings into question that teaser picture we saw a few weeks ago hinting at GX-58 being a new Grendizer. I still hope that it's in the works, as I've been putting off getting a GX-04S until now.
