I kinda surprised that you didn't know about these since I am pretty sure you were the one that told me about KOTOYS.com when I was asking about the City Commander stuff. Anyway, the gold or kold molds has been around and also comes with a nice repro box. But being KO's, I heard the finish isn't that great. Still, one of these day, I will get one of those DIY kits from them.

Funny thing is, I have been to the KO site a million times, but never bothered clicking on the Kold link. I always went to the classics link. But yeah, I finally stumbled on it.

I usually browse around the G1 remake section. I got one of those Devastator gift box set for a buddy and he doesn't know that it's a KO, he taught it's a reissue. Those G1 KO's are really well made. Even the box is pretty much spot on.

How come Hasbro doesn't shut these guys down? It is one thing to sell a carton of KO toys off the street. -a completely other thing to put up a web site that trys to legitimize the rip-offs.
I love the concepts, but feel the hard workers that did the first engineering should get some of the rewards.

Wouldn't have a need for a site like this if hasbro continue to re-issue these. Yeah it's wrong that they are making money off by recasting or using 3D imaging on already existing toys. But I find it unfair if these are only available off the streets of some China city. I would really like for either Takara or Hasbro to reissue the G1 Dinobots, but I remeber reading that the molds were destroyed and no re-issues will ever be made. KOToys.com has recast and remade them almost exactly, also not cheap. Great for those of us that don't have hundred to purchase an original in mint condition. Again, they are wrong for doing it, but bootleggers will always exist and it is only fair that everyone that wants to buy a KO gets to buy it.
