From what I heard I doubt the Galaxy TF's will have any diecast. I hope I'm wrong and if I am and it will have diecast someone please let me know.

Apparently it WILL be diecast, but a fraction of the size. I'm hearing a bit smaller than the SOCs and a LOT more posable.

Yup Dragonclaw, that is what I heard.
I believe this is the type of thing resulting from the internal changes takara has gone through.
They are now looking at strengthtening the brands and I see this as an attempt to reach out to a different type of collector, that one that collects Diecast Metal Robots and may have bought MP Prime.
Let's just hpe this one turns out as good as the former...

Yeah a lot of the Takara plans I've heard hinted at seem to indicate pursuing collectors a lot harder. They could have very easily done plastic like the Alternators instead of the Binaltechs, and rumor has it more Diaclone reissues are coming I hope they do well with it and keep 'em coming!

Diecast Galaxy Force TFs? This is the first I've heard of this, but it's certainly welcoming news!

I haven't kept up with TFs lately (not even reissues)... but a metal version of a modern Transformer? I'm down with it!! Seriously - super-robots are good for nostalgia but ultimately not very playable. And the ones that DO transform are so friggin expensive I can't bring myself to touch them! Strangely enough - this move would Takara on the map for being "Soul of Transformer" because really, Diaclones were die-cast metal toys that were transformable and very playable...

Another wormhole in my pocket. First I heard of it too but it is still good news.

This thing is suppose to have 50 points of articulation, be made mostly of diecast and stand around 5 inches tall. It'll be a wonder of engineering but it will cost you, I think www.bigbadtoystore.com has pre-orders for it at $59.99 u.s.

Hmm. I'm a bit skeptical of the diecast myth/fact. BBTS doesn't mention this. Toywiz didn't mention it when I stopped by. In fact it seemed to be all plastic on the outside.
I'll check again.
Starscream definately was all plastic(other than the metal screws).

Its not the GC01 Galaxy Convoy that's out now. This is a new one designated HBS-01 that wont be out until May or so, quite a bit smaller than the current release which is all plastic. I'm thinking that if the diecast stories are true it'll most likely be just the main body (or a portion of the body) certainly not the extra armor...

I've heard that the reissues re-tooled as Diaclones aren't that popular amongst the japanese fans... and if Takara and eHobby can't sell them to the local population, then why continue producing them? I dunno...

This ended up being the THS-01 right? I wish they reissued it like they did with THS-02. Its really a great figure. Horrid truck mode, but a great figure.

Whaaaat!!! All these sweet details close to the anime look, and only 4.25 inches?!! Well, thanks for letting me know... I am customizing my Hasbro's C: OP that he's gonna look more anime-accurate than that of Takara's. Perhaps will do something with Wing Saber too! Cheers, and I guess b'bye, HBS-01.
