New paint aps are nice, but not enough to make me want to spend the extra.
I've read reports that the Hot Rod/Cyclonus 2-pack is starting to show up at Target.

So "Rumble" (Frenzy!!) is a Scout then, that's good to see. I was really worried that they were going to try squeezing a small figure into the Deluxe line. Now where's that Windcharger figure?

Picked up Jazz tonight. Deluxe Transformers are $10.99 this week at Kmart, about a buck less than Walmart and Target. This was the newest thing they had that I wanted. Nice figure, very little kibble and good stature. Despite the short comings of his alt mode he does have a good look as a bot. Not too crazy for the auto transforming parts, the body doesn't seem to lock into place. Would also have preferred if he came with the familiar shoulder canon instead of the speakers. Only major problem I had was one of his legs got jammed in alt mode so the "trunk" portion couldn't swivel properly. A little pressure on the swivel got it unlocked so all is good. All in all it's a good figure, but I still prefer Tracks.

Is anybody spotting newer stuff than the Jazz/Tracks/Mindset wave? I noticed that Hasbro's online store has a bunch of the newer stuff listed (no voyagers, though) but unavailable, dunno if they were ever actually in stock.

Coldiron said he picked up Laser Prime in the Generations topic, but he didn't say where.
HTS did have the new figures in stock, I remember people saying Scourge and Wreck-gar sold out fast since they're plausible army builders.

Hey guys. I got Laser Prime in West TN on my way up to St Louis. I am keeping him in the package till I see if they are making a nemesis repaint. The locals said there was also Wreck-Gar and Perceptor. I was too late, but I hope I run across them up here.

I broken down and opened laser prime. He is sort of a strange figure. Its a good transformation. The robot mode is a little odd though. The feet hiding is awesome but the feet look bad. I think painting the feet black will help. The silver paint is great but not enough is used. The arms do not pose well. I think they could had learned from drift but the dis not. He has sort of an action figure feel about him more than that of optimism prime. I think with some minor mods he might be pretty cool.
Edit: His sword transformation is the best part of him. I love that it turns into a 5th wheel.

Found the battle in space 2 pack at Toys r Us today. First time I was able to find anything RTS there. Saw RTS bubblebee at a Target store last weekend, was quickly grabbed up by a friend. As for the first wave of RTS with Tracks and Jazz, I saw a bunch of those during the Christmas holiday at Kohl's stores. The stuff at hasbrotoyshop.com goes really quick. You mozt likely have to know the time they were made available in order to get to buy time. At the time I placed my order, I had Wreck Gar in my basket. By the time I checked out, the quantity was sold out. Still, I got kup and preceptor which I am happy about. But Scrouge and Wreck gar, harder to find because people get multiples to build the army.

Thats good to hear about TRU having them. I actually hit up a Walmart about I would say 3 weeks ago or more and I saw a tag that said Reveal the shield 19.97. Most of the isle was empty and had inventory tags of some sort. I asked about the RTS figure since I knew it was the BIS set. She looked around at all the pallets but said since that was greyed out on her paper that it may be a while before they get it. Later on I went to a Target and Saw the same RTS tags for 19.99. Wnet to yet another Target and Voila! 2 sets of BIS. I picked one up. They seem to sell out FAST. Ive only seen RTS at Kohls and Walgreens. Kohls has RTS on sale a while back for 9.99 and I had a 30% discount coupon

I've found the BiS set fairly easily here. I think I've passed it up on three separate occasions. I like the original decos for both figures more than these repaints, and I already have that matrix from New Years Convoy.
Still no soup on the deluxes though.

Managed to snag Legends Prime and Megatron while vacationing in Singapore. I figured with how popular these might be, chances of me getting them back in US might be slim. Also, the departmental store that I went to had a sale, which brought the price down a little. The dynamic sculpt on these 2 figures are damn impressive, with minimal hindrance to transformation or the alt mode. Frankly, I wished the Classics version was somewhat based on this as this is a truer homage. I enjoyed Megs more than MP Megs, so if you see one, definitely pick it up!

Only a few RTS Tracks on our end, mostly Mindset and Fallback. Managed to snag Jazz from what little stocks they have. For now, Jazz will be singing the blues alone.

Some TFs are getting pretty hard to come by. I got Jazz a while back when Kohls first has them. But had a hard time finding anything newer. Out of the 8-10 Targets, TRUs around, only like 2 of them has stocks on the newer waves (but then only G2 Primes and BBs are left), no trace of Perceptor, Wreckgar, or Kup. The disappointment and wasted gas money is starting to justify the high price of online preorders and suck up getting an ugly painted one too if unlucky, as you can't pick and choose in person... kind of sad.
Its almost as if stores are not willing to stock up Reveal the Shield waves, while they are stock piled with older shelfwarmers.

That seems to be how it is. I know that a lot of the target, walmart and toys r us store do have the newer waves but they won't stock the shelf with them until the old ones are gone. Again, the same rant I have with the toys r us stores that I have around me, especially the one in dublin, they have too many rows of animated stuff. It on clearance at 6$ each and it still will not move. The thing about these newer waves is that by the time they do decide to put them out, a lot of us will no longer look to buy them anymore. Currently, I see Blurr, and Dirge, but before christmas, those were hard to find.
I have to believe that the production run on these are the same as the Transformers Animated and the rest of the Shelfwarmers. Most of those are from 2009 and some before. So, I would not be surprise to see these being availble in 2013.

On the other hand some of us have had empty pegs at Walmart for weeks now with no sign of new stuff coming, they just don't seem to be ordering. Same goes for Target, plenty of open peg space, but they only ordered one case of RtS series 1 last month haven't stocked anything new since (they still have a Mindset figure there that hasn't moved.
I think the retailers know the movie stuff is coming in a few months so they're playing extra safe with their ordering right now and would rather have nothing new than deal with the possibility of a massive clearance.

In my area Target is the only retailer that has been stocking anything new. Unfortunately with only 2 targets to serve a city of 400k people that still equals empty pegs 90% of the time. Walmart and Kmart have tons of empty pegs and TRU is full to the gills with shelf-warmers mostly hunt for the decepticons crap. I have given up and pre-ordered the Kup, Wheeljack, Scourge and Thundercracker case from BBTS and I got a wreck-gar through another TF board. I'm about done with "the hunt" for good. With the price of gas these days the higher online prices aren't so high anymore.

I have yet seen a Blurr in person, until yesterday I spotted 1 at Target (when its been out for like 5 months or more). But I already gave up on it long ago and preordered the United color version instead. Now I need to decide if I keep this or pay double for the nicer United version.
What surprises me is how the TRUs are in my area. Its like ever since the MP Grimlock, they don't even get any new stuff like Reveal The Shield waves. All they have left are old Hunt for Decepticons, and some old generation stuff that are both shelfwarmers and 4-5 months old. As a toy store, they don't even have an edge over Target on these. As if they just gave up on it...until the next TF movie hits.
I wouldn't say I am all done for the hunt, but I think I'll preorder online more often, and hunt much less.
