Yesterday I went to four Targets, three TRUs, and two Walmarts. Nothing new anywhere, although it was the first time I saw Insecticon or Blurr at retail and every store had quantities of BiS. This distribution is depressing. With Dark of the Moon toys on the horizon (only, what, 2-3 months away?) it seems like a very real possibility that this RtS stuff could get such a retail squeeze that it become a scalper's feast.
I really prefer buying stuff like this at retail, but I'm starting to worry that shelling out the slightly evil markup now might end up being the lesser of financial evils to waiting and ending up with massive markups later.
I just wish some online store like Amazon would actually stock this stuff and sell it at MSRP.

So algeline, assuming you are not here in the united states, what is the price difference over at your country between hasbro and takara stuff? Staying away from the UN stuff because for the price of 1 UN figure, I can almost buy 3 Hasbro figure if I can find them at retail.

im glad to answer your questions. here UNited deluxes figure is equivalent to 2 hasbro deluxes...but still i preferred United versions because of their very nice paint apps and details, much worth collecting even if the price is much expensive..and quality control is high. like my Henkeis, im happy w/ them.
but for army buliding like scourge and wreckgar, ill get the hasbro versions bec its cheaper, but for their leader, ill get United versions, so that they have unique dessigns as leader.

i haven't seen jazz yet in canada ive seen wreckgar and perceptor. I take it since finding these are so rare than none of you are adopting the wait for a sale before buying then?

Given the appearance on these are so random, you have to have a lot of guts to wait til they goes on sale. When fresh shipments are on shelves, they can be gone literally within hours. So consider yourself lucky to even see something you want.

Heck yeah on those two. They are pretty much the premium two on the recent Classics/Generation/RTS...whatever lineup. I worry so much of not seeing Wheeljack that I preordered from BBTS just as a back up and pay extra. I wanted a nice G1~ish Wheeljack for a very long time. Hopefully I can spot one early at stores so I can cancel my preorder in time. But I doubted I am that lucky though, as I have not even seen a Blurr since release until 2 weeks ago.

Oh, looks like Wheeljack is in stock already (just got email notice from BBTS). Guess I'll have to pay the high price afterall. They better not pick me an ugly one with messed up paint. ;D

I can't wait for rts wheel jack here at are local malls... I don't want to dissappoint you but Wheeljack is part of the Generation line, not RtS. It isn't official but is seems like Hasbro has stopped both RtS and Generations line, and seems to focus primary on TF3 movie toys and TF Prime toys. We will get one more figure this year under the Generations line, Warpath. After that, who knows. Well, at least I have third party stuff to chase during the summer time. Nothing against the movie toys or the TF Prime stuff, but they just don't tickle my fancy.

Don't we still have Reflector, Frenzy/Rumble, a seeker and bunch of alternate head figures due too, in addition to warpath? I guess there's no guarantee that these figures will be in Gen/RtS, but these molds at least should be seeing some more action in the forseeable future. Even the just-released Lugnut has an alt head on his instructions.
Also, Lugnut is awesome. I caved and bought him from BBTS for $24.99.
Still absolutely nothing new in any of the stores I've checked in approximately a 60 mile radius of my apartment, though.

One local Walmart just restocked one of each of Generations wave 1... I'm glad I got RtS Jazz and Tracks when I did, They've been sold out for over a month now everywhere, I haven't seen RtS at Walmart at all yet.

They arnt even carrying any RTS toys at my local stores in Victoria BC.. i had to drive almost 300km to a Toyrs R Us in Parksville to find one peg. I found the 2 pack Cyclonus and Rodimus and a few others I had no intrest in (lugnut) and another larger figure... One of the very few things that sucks about Canada I guess.
