I like the Dreads, they certainly do have an Insecticon look to them in bot mode, hope they do a couple remolds and they don't all look alike (at least the toys). Looks like the hair will be the engine belts. I'm not too crazy about head hair on Transformers (but I think the belts are a clever idea), but facial hair doesn't bother me since it's been around since G1 (Alpha Trion, Scourge, Wreck-Gar, etc.).

WTF?!! Fake wheels?!!! Who did they hire to make these designs?!! It's a big step down from the previous HFTD Battle Blades Prime! They didn't even bother painting them! Those cheap !#%@$@!

These next toys do look sort of like step down in ingenuity from the current line. I wonder if they are throwing gimmick toys at us first for the kid, then more figures will come in later waves. I sure hope so.

So far I'm not really liking the figures, mostly due to Mech Tech. It does seem like a lot of the transformation was compromised to accommodate this gimmick.
Hopefully it is as coldiron said; gimmick toys first for the kids, and better figures in later waves.

No problem. More money to spend in third-party transformers and other stuff.
Not only the stupid Mech-tech grimmick is awful, Hasbro it's spending less and less money in details. Damm! Is it so expensive to paint the rimms? Maybe the final production figures have more paint details but I doubt it.

Another Jolt? The guy was only in TF2 for 10 seconds and got two deluxe figures for it. I hope he at least gets more screen time in TF3, but that figure looks like assortment filler to me. Man, why are we getting filler figures so soon?

I'm a TFS newb, are the toys usually released like that before the movie?
