Interesting that his trailer has something kinda similar to G2 Prime's voicebox. It's a refrigerated reefer trailer. Prime moonlights as a produce and perishables carrier

That combined mode is really poorly done, pretty much zero design or thought went into that. I don't know who to blame, Hasbro for coming up with the design or Takara because they should know better.

I think that the toy lets down the look created in the movie. I think the trailer is actually the jet unit you can see from the back. when he spins around you can see that the top is actually blue and the wings are kind of like the toy... (a little)
maybe because he combined with jet fire in the past he retained some of his dna? so the trailer sort of adapted itself to be abit like it?
I wasn't looking forward to this movie as much as the previous ones but now I am starting to get the buz on. maybe the toys will be better then the last movie? I brought nearly all toys from the first movie and none from the second.

I might get the helicopter. At first I didn't like the arms, but on a second look it's pretty clear they're transformed wrong, the elbows are facing out instead of forward and it seems the forearms can be folded a little closer to the rest of the arm so they don't stick out so far from the side.

So much for Prime being the last prime, continuity has never been a strong Bay suite. The figure looks pretty good and nowhere near as messy as previous movie designs but personally I think they should have made it white and called it Ultra Magnus and got rid of the facial hair, I do like Megatron though.

I think they should make a blue repaint with a new head to give us an Animated/ Movie Magnus. Attachments:

Sentinel Prime was already mentioned in continuity (either one of the books or comics). He took a ship and a crew out to search for a signal nobody else heard and never came back. The theory was that he was hearing the Allspark and took off after it. They ran into Megatron along the way, battled it out, the Ark crashed on the Moon and Megatron crashed into the Arctic. Just like nobody could detect Megatron or the Fallen while in stasis, nobody could detect Sentinel Prime on the Moon in stasis, including the Matrix it seems (though Sam does say SP's name during one of his Allspark freak-outs so maybe the Allspark could). And to all the people who said I was wrong and that it was either Vector Prime or Alpha Trion: Nyeh-nyeh! Emerje

Yeah I know Sentinel Prime was in stasis and was mentioned but it does kinda not make sense that even the Matrix couldn't find him. Still in every comic from Marvel to Dreamwave to IDW Sentinel dies and passes on leadership to Prime so I am kinda interested in how Prime will react to his predecessor still being alive.

So far I'm meh on all save for Emo Megs (which I wish gets a Leader figure soon).
Leader Sentinel is a step down from ROTF Leader Prime... looks more like a shell former with all that back kibble.

None of the Human Alliance figures really stand out for me in this go around.
If they're not repaints they're anything but a car.
I'm still looking for the ultimate version of movie prime....didn't really see any Leader class prime in the pics. Perhaps I should just get the ROTF version?

The Primes that have been revealed (voyager and Ultimate) are pretty different from the obsessively-movie-accurate ROTF primes. While it's possible that the new ones will be good toys, I think it's safe to say that the definitive movie primes are either the leader/buster or voyager versions from ROTF, at least as things currently stand.

If you don't mind getting Jetfire, get the Jetfire / Buster Optimus Prime set. The reason I'd recommend it is because Optimus got his mask on unlike the regular Buster Prime that has an open face. And if you can't afford it, pick the Hunt For The Decepticons Voyager Battle Blades Optimus Prime. It's a lot more screen-accurate than the previous Voyager releases, almost like a mini Leader figure. And if you got some extra cash, get the Takara version of the figure to get the hooks and better paint.

None of the Human Alliance figures really stand out for me in this go around. I feel the exact opposite. The big ones we got ROTF really didn't do anything for me, but the new smaller ones with non-movie characters are something I want. Emerje

At first I thought Ultimate Optimus Prime looked terrible. But after looking at this picture with the wings down, I kinda start thinking it looks cool.
