I want some comments about this. Did I made a good decision when I trade my 1984 godaikin Voltes V incomplete(manual,1lander connetor traymissle for #1#4, and rope) the robot is in excellent condition. for Bnew fewture set repaint(open brown boxed). what do you think guys, did I made a good move? I know voltes V would go up in time do you think the repaint version would be rare too?

that depends, if you like the fewture repaint set than the voltes V godaikin, then its a good deal. if youre going to wait for the repaint version to be rare, it might take you about 10-20 yrs before it become rare, and after that, will collectors be looking for it(like the fewture getter black ryoma, only 500 was produced). as long as you enjoy the repaint version.. to me its a good deal.
the voltes V godaikin was liked because a lot of people used to watch it on tv when they were young, and most of us had a toy from that era, which made it sentimental to us.

i've only owned the Getters not the Voltes . But It seems to me that the Getters aren't that rare - right now. I'm not trying to make you feel bad or anything . I think that overall you got three for 1 which isnt a bad deal. Its just that who can say if the Getters will keep going up in price. I sold mine . (1st release)

mannix143 and acer-I see, Honestly in our country Voltes V is the most common toy and since 1998 I've been into G1-godaikin business until I've stop at 2007 change hobby. I've hold so many loose-box V5 that the trill of having one is too common and my sentiments are fulfilled. On ebay to get a fewture set is around 899-1k usd against 400-700usd unplayed voltes V. Thats the thing that I've considered and my voltes is incomplete thats why I trade it. Well as for Fewture Getter I've been a fan of getter robot and I want to have one eversince can't find S.H.E. getter and this is the best opportunity to get a set.. I just hope the getter set make a good investment in the future.

I am a collector of both, and I do think it is a great trade deal. at the end, you are the one who is supposed to be happy. the Getters are so nice, as well as the Voltes V Godaikin a lot of members do trade older toys for a newer ones from time to time and there is nothing wrong with that all. I would say you did had a great deal since your Voltes V is incomplete and its value between $400-$600 max and the Getters worth around $850-$1000 you are the winner at that trade man. I am happy for you but if your Godaikin Voltes V was complete and in great mint condition, then it is another story!

My opinion only, but collecting as an investment is not what you should be shooting for. If you like the toy and it feels right to you, that is all that should count.

If I were you I would say I would try to complete my incomplete Voltes V, took a lot of patient tobe complete, and yes voltes V godaikin was liked because a lot of people used to watch it on tv when they were young, and most of us had a toy from that era, which made it sentimental to us.
