So, there is a new listing on ebay for a Japanese version Tet 28, c-9 to c-9.5 very nice, but buy it now 9 large or starting bid 8 large, come on. I know prices are going up, but I got a feeling that one may sit a while. In fact curious if any of you think it will sell, as I figure he will have to budge down to at least 4 grand. I could buy a nice classic car via auction for that kind of chez, or perhaps an entire Godaikin collection with tet 28 as the center piece....

-Bet it will sell for close to that....but off ebay. "Item lost" will show up .....
It appears to be in stellar condition.

Yeah Ed being ultra rare stellar condition perhaps. Can't blame them I guess, I would want that much for it if I was lucky enough to own it....

I agree with Maestro Ed and after seeing the pictures they posted of it, that price sounds about right. Its quite unique and unusually Rare to find a Tetsujin in THAT kind of condition, let alone an Original Popy Version as well. It practically looks "Brand New". If I had the money, I don't think I would hesitate too long and at that point money/value isn't the issue - It is how bad you Want It or how bad you Need it! I would rather to what you're thinking GC74, "entire Godaikin collection with tet 28 as the center piece...." - Well, Maybe.......!

I was drooling at that one last night. For fun, I asked my wife if I could buy it. She was like, 'no problem, but you'll be living with it somewhere else' *sigh*

Now there is a 3500 dollar Tetsujin up, nice complete Godaikin. Until it sells, the other may sit for a while, because why pay an extra 5000 grands for what acumulates to box art. I know the Japan version is much more sought after and rare, but come on 5000 bucks more sought after. If I had a spare 3500, that Godaikin Tet 28 would be in transit to my house, lol....
Strange to see to great complete examples of each kind up at the same time. If I had 10 grand to invest, would probably would try and buy both....

I like the Godaikin box more. Why in Heavens name has this toy never been knocked-off? Of all the knock-offs, why no t-28?

Maybe the $3500 Tet seller saw the $8K one, and is hoping for a quick sale.

It appears to be the first version of Tetsujin....
But with that price, I think Ed is right that it is likely to end in private deal
