Just wanted to report - toy-surgery on my Not-Constructicons was a success! Replacement hips went into Heavy Labor, no problem. And I swapped the connector ports (the black ratcheting joint part) between Neckbreaker and Structor. Luckily for me, I will not need to do the ratchet-padding trick on Mad-Blender since he doesn't have the loose connector port like others have complained about. Now I just wish I hadn't left Exgraver and DrCrank at my office. Guess I have no choice but to bring all 4 of these guys to work tomorrow to fool around with between meetings!

Guess I have no choice but to bring all 4 of these guys to work tomorrow to fool around with between meetings! The best way to get loose joints... ^__^ I asked for 2 ex of this custom face plate... I will probably try to recast the existing one to create a version with articulated chin...

thanks locidm, but i'm not sure it will be worth with shipping to my country... *sigh* You spend several hundred $ on a figure, I am sure the head will be a drop in the bucket as an accessory.

I don't get why someone would want Hercules, whose arms finally achieve the "anime magic" involved with appearing out of nowhere but is actually part of the bots who actually do form the arms, to get an add-on which makes Hercules resemble the very inferior toy-version... Next, somebody is going to make a hip replacement so that Mad Blender and Structor can connect to Heavy Labor with a flat and non-articulated purple triangular panel! On the one hand, I notice in that link that somebody else has pointed out what I noticed a while back and I cannot repeat enough to everyone who will listen: DrCrank's connectors are bigger than you think! You can stretch and damage anything you plug onto it!

I got them in yesterday also. Here are a few pics to share. Group Shot Devastator Phase 1 Phase 2 Devastator awakens Didn't have enough time to do much with it, so this is where he is being stashed until I find more time to fiddle with it.

Congrats on the haul, fellas! But how's the weight of this thing? I'm sort of on the fence with it since some reviews keep saying he's top heavy, and I am worried if the joints from the waist down can handle the stress over time. BTW, Supergetterv, what's that Wreck-Gar upgrade kit? I've never seen that before. Thanks Gold

My mad blender has a really weak connector ratchet that becomes Hercules' knee. I will have to fix that. He is stable enough as is but have the tendency to fall backwards. Read from TFW that it can be fixed by inserting a spacer behind the plate that keeps the ratchet in place. I also find that mad blender is kinda hard to balance when in leg mode, but it could be just me not having spent enough time with it.
The add on parts on SGV's wreckgar is made by Maidenjapan from the TFW2005 forums. Those are hand painted resin kits and I think it's around $50 a set. It takes him months to get them out though due to the amount of time it takes to make.

I have the same exact problem with my Mixmaster connection joint. Standing up isn't a problem but if the figure bend backwards, it will give way. This leg is shorter vs Scraper, and because the front cab and the wheels touch the ground makes it unstable, it likes to roll. The ratchet joints on this combine form just isn't strong enough. While Devy can do a effective side kick, the joints will not hold for a front kick. It is top heavy and the overall clunkyness does limit the range of motion. Elbow can't do 90 degree bend, but it can bend close enough to it.
Overall, I find it worth my 600$ because of the awesomeness and I just love Transformers Combiners. It is something that Takara and Hasbro will likely never do. So in that sense, it is worth buying. But in all honesty, I don't like the crappy QC on these figure as each one has some kind of flaw. Each figure on its own is definitely not worth buying at the 80 to 100 price. I've said that before. If you are a SoC or Chogokin collector and come to expect high quality when you spend top dollars, you won't be getting that with this set.

Took 10 minutes to fix the knee on mad blender (Hercules knee joint). He can now do poses like this: easy fix, Supergetterv, if you have the same problem, I'd definitely recommend it. All I did was cut a thin piece of eraser and put it behind the grey plate that supports the ratchet. The grey plate can be access by just unscrewing the 4 screws near that connector joint.
