My brother told me something to the effect of "this is the takara figure without the colored windows and painted yellow lights on the truck cab" and the stand. And Hasbro Asia's inflated price.

I don't have a MP-10 yet and I'm struggling with which version to get. I'm not thrilled with TRU version as I don't like the packaging. So I'm left with this new Asia MP-10 Re-issue, the Year of the Horse TRU Canada release or just picking up a MP-10 original release on evilbay.
Please help me with this decision and your pros and cons for each.
Thanks in advance,
Ancestral

I think the Hasbro is leaps and bounds better then the Takara release. The eyes in the Takara totally ruin the figure for me. He looks totally lifeless. Why would the packaging on the Hasbro sway you from buying it? That doesnt make any senes to me. Packaging is fine IMO.

I have to agree that the packaging on the Hasbro version is better because everything is properly packed and you can see it. It's really nice for people that don't open up their figures and likes to keep their figures in MiB condition. The Takara Mp-10 version, like with all the rest, you have no idea of what you are getting until you open it up.
advantage goes to Hasbro for the packaging. Advantage to Hasbro for the color scheme. Advantage to Takara for the color of Roller. The silver color is better. So Takara version is better on roller and that repair doc inside the trailer. Advantage to Takara for the tech spec card and instruction manual. Hasbro has them weak instruction sheet, not collector worthy. Also, who doesn't want to have those nice collectible cards with the info and tech specs. Because I got mines when it was release, the Hasbro version is hands down better because it was only $100. Takara version, even if you were luck enough to order it from Japanese retailer at a discount still cost well over $230 with shipping. I am one of them cheap Transformers collectors that will not pay that amount for this figure. It's the reason I like Hasbro versions of these Masterpiece cause I just can't ever justify the higher Takara versions.

Hasbro wins due to packaging and toy color and paint apps. Get the Hasbro one. I'm still trying to get one of the damn things.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Agree thatthe TRU version is better. The prices on the masterpriece transformers has exploded recently. Maybe due to the release of the TRU release of soundwave and acid storm. Now TRU versions of mp-10 are going for $275 on evilbay....ugggghhh! Still looking for coronation starstream but hes going for $350 on average ouch!!!! Even skywarp and thundercracker takata are $250!

I am still looking for an original Takara mp-08 grimlock and mp-10 Prime. They are so expensive now.

Really?!?! I don't mean to offend any Eva fans, but from a toy and TF perspective overall this is a waste and an utter piece of useless repaint crap. What a sh*tty move on TT's part.

Convoy is to Takara-Tomy what Mazinger Z is to Bandai. Viva la bazillion versions and repaints!

What a sh*tty move on TT's part. agree in all glory....this is going to the sales bin because of that f....ing over inflated $245 price tag... btw...for that frickin price tag...they might as well throw in a micro Asuka or Rei figure to compliment their so called Eva homage.....
