You can play friendly with both versions... it's just during transformation you have to be very carefull. I replace only the front bad of the truck.Joints panels are re-enforced there, and I keeped the old shoulders and old Giant head in case of new breaks. All corrections are done on the Green guy. The base of the crane is fully removable now.

The Maketoys Giant does seem really cool from what little I've handled of it over the past day. The combined mode is really solid and the ratchets are very satisfying and functional. The individual robot modes are pretty cool too. I'm not a fan of how fiddly the transformations are of the shoulders and chest of the leg-front loader robot, but it's a minor complaints compared to the overall high quality of the figure and the transformation.

The Maketoys Giant looks great. I actually like both colors equally. The Hercules is fine, but I definitely like the Giant better.

I am not quite sure what it is you are asking. The image of the box is probably the outer box, use for shipping purposes. Green Giant is Giant Type 61. The 61 is make toys sorry lame a$$ attempt of saying it G1 cause apparently 6 looks like a G.

Yeah, these look awesome. I wonder if they are going to be available thru our regular online retailers as regular releases, or exclusives.

Wow that looks better than the original. I wonder if the SG Magnus can be found cheap.

If I run across the green giant when I go to Hong Kong is there any QC issues I should look for before buying? I assume you can no longer get replacement parts.

The green Giant version is clean and well tested. They fixed the Dumptruck shoulders articulations. Some parts are fragile, like Buldozer shovel pistons : during transformation, they do not like too much pressure. I got I replacement by Maketoys via Upgrade Commander (I paid for it). But overall, go and buy it with confidence. I think Chen want to buy one too, maybe you can deal something with him.

Thanks but I bought a Green Giant awhile back, but yeah they fixed the problems from the yellow version and it's a great piece! Don't hesitate to buy and it's a lot sturdier then you think.

Thanks guys. I see them pop up on eBay and I know shops in HK have older items too. I think there is a chance I will even run across feature getters there.

I'd LOVE to own them both but they are just way to expensive in my opinion and I can't make it happen with other releases on the horizon. Wish I could but it's just not in the cards for that price.

Finally got round to buying the maketoys paladin/chaos. some pictures to share. The front cover The plastic tray. I realized the picture is inverted shortly after downloading into flickr but unable to do anything about it, sorry about that. The box set can be converted into either robot, Paladin or Chaos The Chaos version For starters, I like the look of the robot. bad ass and uncompromising. unfortunately, my love for the Maketoys Paladin/Chaos ends there Articulation is poor and the arms keeps falling off from the sockets whenever you try to achieve a dynamic pose. it has zero motion on the wrist and very limited articulation for the rest of the arm and the overall robot feels "loose", definitely not as solid as what I like it to be. I paid 140usd shipped for it, it would be a little easier to swallow if it would have costs me 80 instead.

I have read the mobine figures did not get officially released due to QC making them ultimately cancelled. There are some in the wild though. Sad to see this night suffer some of the issues. I planned on getting this one myself. Maybe not now. I really liked the PCC limb idea.
