-anyone notice a blue shoulder Popy Getter 1 selling on ebay? Was it real or a repro?
I held my repro and couldn't see any difference in the toy or box, but possibly a small difference.
The seller couldn't produce a photo of the sponge or catalogs (if they were there) for me. So I choose to no-bid.
.....makes me wonder.

-I'll bump this and see again.... I was referring to a recent Popy GR1 on ebay and was wondering if it was a reproduction.

I saw it, but passed as I don't know the difference between repro and original either. Was a beautiful box though

I am not positive, but I don't think the original was made in the alternate colors. I do know that repros were made in this color, in addition to the white, several years ago. Released for a show? I forget. I don't think they are boots, per se, but more festival releases. I'm not sure, though.

Yeah, they did bootlegs of the blue shoulder. I have it along with the gray trainer.....
The blue is based on a Popy variation. A cool one to be sure....
I would just like a definitive way to tell the bootlegs from the real deal. I imagine the box is the tipoff, but we just don't get great pictures on ebay. -snif. It would be nice if there was a toy tip-off too.
