Does anybody have the instructions for the Matchbox/Popy Dairugger XV (the 15" combining one). Just got one loose and am having trouble separating some of the vehicles. If anyone can send me a scanned copy it would be greatly appreciated.

Sweet score! Good luck and be careful how ya handle it. If you're gonna cry for help, do it like they do in the circus:
HEY RUUUUUUUUUBE!!! ;D

Thanks Ed! yes it is a nice problem to have. Does the red fighter plane just pull out? It's just clipping onto the chest with two little tabs and I don't want to force it out. I'm not seeing any release button for it.

This piece looks awesome but really doesn't age well. Hope I get things figured out soon. Man, I gotta stay focus on work but keep thinking about this!

how do you disconnect #6 (mid torso) and #11 (lower torso/hip)? I'm guessing it's via the yellow tab inside the compound of the lower torso, but the yellow tab won't botch. Any ideas?

The red jet just pulls out. The clip is like a C shape when you look at the top. You may want to work one side first, like the pry the plane away from an arm. For those tabs, I seem to remember the yellow tab working side ways. It unlatches if memory serves.....but someone else may know. My toy is in storage now

Woohoo! I cleaned him up real good tonight and he is now dust free. For the yellow tab inside that little compartment in the waist #11 vehicle, I had to use a flat head screw driver to release the spring. It was a little traumatic for me. Now that I know everything separates I finally formed Voltron for the first time! My cousin had this when we were kids and I only got to stare from a distance. Can't express the joy of having my very own. Ingram no longer the biggest dude

It looks great. Do you have to use the screw driver all the time now if you want to separate it? What did you use to get it so shiny?

I think so, I couldn't separate the waist joint using my fingers only. Kinda sucks but considering it's a 30 yr old toy and it still works I'm not complaining too much. My specimen is obviously used and played with some, even had a broken fist that was glued back to the forearm. But it does everything I want it to. I used lens cleaner solution for my glasses with q-tip to clean. I think the solution is mostly water with a little soap on it. The chrome isn't all that shiny in person but it's in a much better state that it was when I received it. I'm not a vintage guy and don't really have a lot of experience with cleaning vintage pieces, but I'm sure others on this forum are a lot more experienced. If anybody knows how to restore chrome, please let me know!

I'll have to try that with the glasses cleaner. Yeah, the condition of these old toys is sometimes insane. I think part of the problem (at least with mine) is that the inner workings are a bit rusty from age (springs and stuff). I had to open the right leg of mine to fix the locking tab as it had snapped so the leg would not stay on. I ended up super gluing the tab and it now works great but I still worry about separating it as I'm unsure of how much give the tab has now with the super glue.I still haven't been able to separate the head from the upper torso as I'm unsure of how to do it. This still is an outstanding toy and my heart aches thinking about how it was supposed to be like the Tetsujin SG01. It would have been so beautiful as a heavy steel piece.
As far as restoring chrome, if it's worn off the only option is to get it vacuum formed back on. I haven't looked at the prices for that but it would probably be best to get a bunch of different pieces all together and have them done at one time.

I got one in last night too, small world. I put the chest jet in upside, down so I got nervous trying to unlatch it and swap it around. I had to look at some pics online I'll take a pic of mine later.

I used a small screw driver (flat head) to pry loose one side of the jet before removing it. Sure I can pull the jet out without the tool but it worries me every time. I hope we didn't bid against each other!

moop, if you're going to use glasses cleaner, be careful with the painted surfaces as too much of that solution may rub off some of the paint. It works well with the unpainted surfaces.

FWIW I"m buying loose Popy/Shogun Warriors/early Bandai diecast and larger combiners, but I try to not spend over $100.
