feel the vibe : Better working very faded with a T too much washed ^__^ No disrespect to the original "Robot Japan" logo but lejam you have done a brilliant job with this "new" Robot Japan logo. Looking from a distance it's hard to distinguish the "B" from the "O"s and possibly working in a way to put the vertical line of the "R". And using upper case for the word "ROBOT". The lower case "t" seems out of place.... I don't know, I'm just thinking out loud (no offense lejam!). Also, is the domain name in black really necessary under the logo though? The "new" logo on it's own looks much nicer IMO. My order of preference would be for the gray, blue and then black (black fades easily). Tell me what you guys decide and how much it might cost.

@ Tony. No disrespect taken -Just curious because the printing looks like things sound @ Sagat and Lejam-- I think Logo #2 will be the next print run. I love it, but it deserves multiple printings, a smoother process, and more budgeting. For pre-orders and such, I will need to determine costs and what is a "fair price". My guess is that I'll do a printing of Mediums, XL, and L with about 20 per order or so. So 60 printings up front. You guys can email me a admin @ robot-japan.com for pre-order names and addresses ( be sure to include your paypal email address). I can send invices when this project gets off the ground. Gents that have experience, LMK what quantities you suggest. If 50 is the best price break and then, say, 90, It may makes sense for me to do 90. I open things up to experience. For ordering I "thought" it made sense to order these in Florida locally. that way I don't have to double ship and drive up costs. Maybe there is a better way, but I'd like to pretend that the economics would be better getting a hungry local print shop. E

Next run will be fundraw for the second Tshirt model ^__^ About fabrics, I know that Fruit of the Loom simple t-shirt are not good quality. I choose white model for the NIPPON GANBATTE project... On first laundry, tshirt loose 1 size (shrinking)... So better dealing with B&C or whatever... American Apparel are well designed and last after many laundries... (but a little bit expensive... you can contact local disdributor from them and ask for model pricing for printing. It's easy to find print shops with Flex technical printing... Silkscreen is better and cheaper (starting with a minimum quantity). So count me in for a Tshirt (grey is still my favorite color base for the T). About colors, maybe we can have choice for black, grey or white tshirt. Usually, price is matter only of ink (numbers of colors and quality).

Can someone set up a poll on T-shirts? I'd like to survey /confirm that black will be the best seller. Then I think the old skool RJ logo with orange would be the winner, but it makes sense to confirm that too.
Finally, if we order just Larges and XL, will that make sense for bulk purchasing?
thinking out loud here...
-Like the fundraw idea!

Y'all can keep the girl. I just want the shirt! ;D --------------------- My preferred color for a shirt is Black (and White as my secondary choice), since I always wear black... ...I can wear it when I go out to see live bands, and it would attract metalheads, emos, stoners, and hardcore fans who may also want to get into this hobby. School is back in session, and the SUNY college kids are back in town... ...they hang out at the bar/food joint next to my restaurant and often lounge outside all evening. For all I know any one or more of them may have been familiar with "Robot Japan" in any way online, perhaps they are manga and anime fans, so to see the RJ name out in public would open conversations leading to new members for this web group and this hobby. I'd like to win more fans and members in my region for the Róbotto Níppon Gúndamu ("Robot Japan Army"). ;D zozo-mag I do like our original logo in black t-shirt. ;D

I prefer black shirts. XL. But my gf would probably want a Men's medium or a girly shirt.
If you print using a shop they will usually give you a mix of sizes if you want. Girly T's cost more, and use less fabric. Weird.
5oz is standard I think? there are newer lighter shirts that bands in the south and west coast all seem to use now. Those lighter shirts are much appreciated in Florida and SoCal in the summer!

And there is always Cafepress for smaller orders of shirts.

I had gotten my "Gaiking of Clubs" Tee from Cafepress. Bought it special order through www.cafepress.com/coreyshead. The price was reasonable, but the decal faded relatively fast. I probably should not have used the clothes dryer and let it air dry instead, but who does that these days? BTW, Corey has a lot of good stuff up now and can always create a special one for you based on his older work (see some of it here: www.coreyshead.com/monstersandrobots.html ). You can check the design on my custom shirt by clicking on the Gaiking outline. Or by looking here (one of the latter photos): www.robot-japan.com/item/robot-japan-summit-2-wrap-up.html

I need XXXL, but most shirt manufacturers sell different sizes for the same. However, they do charge a $1 or $2 premium for XXL or larger.

I want one, definitely. I hope you can ship abroad. I try something to help, just to figure what a simple Tshirt for RJ can be done with only 1 ink : ^__^ (okay, I forgot Navy blue Tshirt with red print)If you guys decide to do this design, I'd like a grey or a blue one with white logo. feel the vibe : Better working very faded with a T too much washed ^__^ However, if you guys decide to do this design, I'd like the black one. USA XL size ;D

-Just finished some research and it seems I won't be able to get this well done locally :/
So I'm going to look into online options soon and probably bulk purchase some basic sizes and colors. Cafepress was too pricey ....they want everything to "Start" at high prices that I can then mark up. LOL

There are no printers down in St. Pete? Did you ask the guys from State Media (Daddy Cool Records) they will know the cheap printers that all the local death metal bands use.
