I feel just the opposite. I can't stand the new one, but the old one has such charm. Like Count said, everyone has their own opinion, and it keeps things interesting.

you are confusing vintage with classic, which when it comes to toys, is not the same thing at all... Couldn't agree with you more on this, some design just don't hold up over time and simply become vintage as opposed to Classics. This design is like disco as opposed to mozart to me. I wouldn't mind Tekkaman itself but the old pegas is simply not pretty compared to its new version.

i guess people dont like fat robots, lol the original pegas looks like he should be in an italian mob movie, the new designs looks more hulkish, personally i like both, the new one a bit more. ;D

Im even more confused IM talking about Classic robots such as Jeeg,Mazinegr,Gaiking,Grendizer etc as opposed to Antique meaning vintage. Not vintage designs compared to new designs,or classic designs.IM JUST TALKING ABOUT the MAJOR CLASSIC ROBOTS,nothing to do with the design differences of old compared with new.Anyway this conversation is getting silly.I think everyone is misunderstanding here.

I think it's just the wording, any design between 25-35+ years old when in context to Super Robot designs can be considered Vintage. But not all of those designs can be considered Classic/Antique or have stood the test of time for example Mazinger Z and Astroganger are both Vintage designs but for the most part Maz is considered a classic design while Astroganger is not. Doesn't mean that Astroganger is not a good design or that there are not fans of the design it just hasn't influenced the shape of Super Robot designs or been considered by the majority of fans of the hobby to be a standout design.
I personally like the look of the old Pegas, yes it's not a beautiful classic design like Maz or Getter 1 but it is different and does have a very vintage look to it. No point in comparing it to the new version because that's not the point it should be judged on it's own design and if you consider the price of the set worth it to buy.

Quite like the classic Tekkaman myself (more so than the other modern ones). And it looks well made too. But I'll have to wait for the price drop, as I have given CM's enough money for all the Jeeg releases. So either I'll get this Tekkaman at a very good low price, or just have to live with not having it at all. If its more at a $150 price range, then its a no brainer.
