If you want one and can afford it you better get one, this is a modern day version of the old Godaikin SG-01 Tetsujin. It WILL be a future classic.

This is just beyond compare!!!! But for all the $ this will cost and all the time and detail they put into it, couldn't they at least cover up the screws? Unless the design of Maz includes massive truck-sized screws. ;D

I..... am...... pissin...... NERVOUSLY........in.....my.......pants..... for this.........
.......NOT!....... ;D
...On the catwalk...
Seriously, it is a beautiful specimen. Nice features.
On the catwalk...
I'm glad it's the Toei version Maz that got this treatment, and not the Shin Maz. The Shin Maz already had it's Web-exclusive "Atami Night" spotlight....
........................now it's time for Shinnie to step off, and hand the catwalk back to the real Maz with this new all-purpose-action getup so da beotch can Stru-u-u-t and Vo-o-o-gue on the catwalk.....
....yessss, oooon the catwalk.......
....IIII'm... too sexy for my chogokin Z, ssso SSSeee-xyyy. ;D

.....Hmmmm. Good, thanks for that info.
I cannot afford it now, anyways.
But if it's gonna be on preorder before the physical item is released, then at least that's a good enough time frame to save the money for it....
...unless I gank a bank. ;D

I'll be curious to see how well this actually sells. It's cool, but priced outside of the average collector budget. The size is also going to make the shipping high. Seems like an odd time to release something like this, economically speaking.

Max Factory did it with their Big-O for roughly the same price (a little more), and Fewture keeps doing it time and time again. Both companies did really well with their sales. Bandai is just following their footsteps... }D

I guess it depends on what you mean by "really well". Members here seemed enthusiastic about the Big-O but I didn't read more that one or two people saying that they actually bought it, and the same goes for the half dozen other forums I frequent? And I'm not so sure about Fewture either... When expensive figures were selling well a few years ago, Fewture was putting out three or more figures a year, but lately I get they feeling that they aren't looking to release a whole lot of anything. Just going by intuition alone, I would think the Shin Getter wouldn't have taken two or three years to get it out if the demand had been genuinely high, which is different than just mere enthusiasm. I don't know, maybe high dollar items are selling fine, but from what I gather, this doesn't seem to be the case.

I will have to admit, this for me is THE must have item of the year. I didn't grow up watching mazinger nor do I watch it now, but this release will not escape my grasp. It is everything I am looking for in a chogokin....everything. I was awake 2 minutes this morning when i saw it and It was enough to make me drop my jaw and make silly noises. I will be saving up now for it. Simply awesome. Hope it is as good as it looks

If they continue the DX line, I woyld prefer Golion to be released in this series instead of the GX line. it would be ridiculous. Im all for this line. Its about time I refocus my collecting... Or at least try.

"really well" = SOLD OUT in a relatively short amount of time - meaning, all of the stock produced was sold fairly quickly. Yeah, you may be find the Fewture & Max Factory in some places (mainly Ebay) but many of those sell for a little bit more than what those figures retailed initially. The opposite of "really well" = Yamato's Groizer X Limited Manga Color. ;D }D

I kept making funny noises that my wife repeatedly asked me what the heck i was reading. Yes I can totally imagine opening up the hangar and turning on the lights and sound effects to awe my enthusiastic guests.

I think, judging by the picture of the foot, that the back pieces are diecast, and the removable front pieces are plastic... but that is just my theory. }D
