Apparently, this release has to do with Mazinger's 40th anniversary. But if it catches on, I can see Bandai profiting from it... ![;)](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/wink.png) }D

He should have said 12" lightup diecast Mazinger for $150. And while he was at it, threw in some lottery numbers too ;D LOL! That thing's gonna be in the $500 range with shipping ![:o](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/shocked.png)

I dont get it when people who spend 500$ on 2 or 3 mediocre robots in a month, act like 500$ is an impossible feat to pay for one REALLy nice one.Why is it too much to spend? Those 3 other robots that you would buy fade into your collection, where this would be the centerpiece of a collection.Rethink. I dont understand when people who are in this expensive hobby, cry poverty. If you didnt have money you wouldnt be collecting Gokin,or even plastic Gundam kits,or SRCs for that matter. We all can save 500$ in 6 mths. I never heard of a homeless Japanese robot collector, you have to have some sort of $$$ to collect this stuff. Its not that you CANT afford it,its your scared to spend that much. This release is gonna be worth every single penny,so buck up and save your allowances. ;D ![;)](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/wink.png)

You will be surprised. There is at least one Active RJ member who used to be homeless and started collecting while he was homeless. ![:)](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/smiley.png) It's a matter of preference and priority. Some people prefer quantity while others prefer quality. I prefer both, and I'm broke. ![:)](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/smiley.png) This community actually is one of the more generous ones. The transformers community is probably the most stringent on spending. They complain about anything over $50, heck sometimes even $15.

For some this might be an easy decision, but for example, considering you might have to sacrifice getting a Vehicle Voltron (if it ever comes out..) and four SRCs... I don't know, I think for me personally I would lean towards the lots of robots vs. the one, but that's just me. Late to the party here. Finally got a chance to view the live stream and all I can say is WOW ![:o](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/shocked.png) . I am so getting this. The hardest thing I think will be getting a preorder in. The only thing in our favour in regards to this would be the price. It is higher than some people will pay, so it may make it easier to order. Who knows? Only time will tell, but I can't wait. This IS the Mazinger I have been waiting for ever since I saw the cut-away diagrams of him. Just my two cents here, but I think the price is very reasonable for what we are getting. I mean a one foot tall Chogokin figure with electronics and a really nice display to go with it. Not too shabby IMHO. Mind you I also had no problem dropping the cash to get the Project BM Kaneda and his motorcycle. Still one of the nicest pieces I own.

If it is a regular release, like a regular SOC, it may sell out initially, but later on (a month or two after the initial release) Bandai would make another production runs. They have done it with other SOC releases that sold out even at pre-order time, like the Yamato and Andromeda, and even the new Daioja. ![;)](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/wink.png) }D

Hi all,
I wonder once the Scrander and Jet Pilder, Iron Cutters etc are released if they will include the Scrander Launch Rail?
The Mazinger Z, once you get your DX, will you paint the silver parts white, to be anime accurate?
Cheers,

Just hope that this doesn't turn into one of those fiasco like Bandai's Macross frontier chogokin renewals or the YF-29 reissue. The preorder window for those at your usual outlets lasts for about three minutes in the middle of the night pacific time before selling out, and once sold out you are left with scalper prices. it's ridiculous that it's easier to get the tamashi exclusives than the regular releases. I never found VF-25G nor the YF-29 at MSRP despite checking everyday.
Pray that it doesn't happen to this Maz release.

Everyone is ranting about the price, but is this really that much more expensive than the recent SOC releases? If you are already dropping $300 for the latest releases, I don't see $500 for something much more advanced as that far of a reach. I have to admit that personally, while I won't drop $250 to $300 on an SOC, I am seriously considering this bad boy. This is the creme de la creme of gokin!! (I just hope it is mostly metal - I fear much of the internal mechanisms will be plastic.)
