Nice! I may try to score one of those some day. I have the plastic version already, but it pales in comparison with the diecast. }D

I actually don't like it, since it is a shameless rip-off of all Mazins combined. But the toy itself looks good. }D

Nice T V figure there. As for the robot character, well, I can't judge it compared to Mazinger-Z and I haven't seen its TV show, so I dunno. The figure there looks cool; and it's nice to see robots from other countries get some action-figure treatment in this hobby. Congrats on your new haul! zozo-mag

I saw Taekwon V in a toy & hobby shop at one of the subway shopping centers in Busan last year. I was tempted to pick him up had to hold back due to the limited funds I had at the time. Interesting but needs more for me to be convinced to get him

I lived in Korea for a year back in the 90s. This toy is far superior to the Korean toys of the 90s. As for his style, I like it. He has some features that come from ancient Korean armor suits mixed with some Mazinger Z.. I never seen the anime but the design looks good in my opinon. I liked the Korean fighting spirit I saw in the ROK soldiers I served with and I see the same fighting spirit in this design. He is a good Korean Super Robot.

Sorry gettershadow, but Taekwon V is 95% mix of Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, and Grendizer. So design-wise, it is a rip-off. I saw a few episodes and didn't like the anime much. The enemies were goofy and the hero was drawn in a semi 1960's Speed-Racer/Disney prince fashion. Nothing like the Japanese anime at all. But again, I did not see the whole series, so maybe it got better in later episodes... }D

As for the toy itself its a SOLID chunk of diecast!it is the only gokin that can match up with Mazinkaiser in terms of heft!
Oh and didnt know this ?? Robot Taekwon V was released in the United States in a dubbed format under the name Voltar the Invincible, never heard of that?
And he is a direct ripoff!!but that is where he gets his charm, lol.

I think "V"s special feature was that he mostly used hand-to-hand combat tae kwando to be exact.. kinda cool.

As for the figure itself, Id love to have one, Id put right next to my SRC Mazingers, it looks like a good figure.

It's interesting to see a gokin of a figure outside the usual pantheon.
