I was stoked to hear that Sunstorm was going to be released by Hasbro for the West. Upon seeing pictures on the internet, Hasbro Masterpiece Sunstorm looks like crap compared to Takara Masterpiece Sunstorm. Hasbro marketing: "Let's make the US Sunstorm cooler that Japanese Sunstorm". Clearly, Hasbro have failed.

TRU Australia is selling Sunstorm for $129 AU. WTF.

Got my KO MP Streak yesterday and I am conflicted about it. On the one hand, it is fairly priced. I got mines for $35 with shipping. So not much more than what I normally pay for a voyager, around 5-10$ more. And it is just as good if not better than a lot of the official voyager toys. So I like it but the conflicting part is that you can easily see that it is a KO. The box, even if you don't have an original, it's easy to tell. Cause the print isn't as sharp and the color is a bit dark. The instructions manual, it's easy to see that the printing again isn't as sharp. And finally on the figure, in vehicle mode, aside from the clear window parts not being as clear is hard to tell, but in robot mode, it's easy to tell just by looking at the face. The molding just isn't as sharp. The crest on the head is not as clean. The little details on the crest is dull, the shape of the helmet isn't as refine. And the face, it isn't as smooth, eyes aren't as neat. So looking closely, I can see a lot of the fine details that was lost in the remolding process. But it is still very solid and very nicely done. It isn't like other KO where you can tell just by the feel of the plastic or the piss poor QC. There wasn't much tolerance issues on my copy, most joints were nice, not tight or loose. Still looks pretty nice along side my official MPs. I'd easily recommend the original over these KO had it not be for the high price. Unless you really like Smokescreen, Prowl or Streak and only collect Originals, I can't see any other reason not to give these KO's a try.

You guys weren't kidding when you mentioned TRU Prowl was overpriced. It was priced like an MP seeker when it came out here last week. More than a Takara Prowl even with shipping.

You guys weren't kidding when you mentioned TRU Prowl was overpriced. It was priced like an MP seeker when it came out here last week. More than a Takara Prowl even with shipping. My local toy r us store has over 5 of them shelf warming as we speak. And it was available to be order at the toysrus.com website for months. Not sure if it is still available now. Actually both MP's were readily available and not instantly sold out like previous MP. The MP Grimlock reissued didn't last long at all and that was a reissue. Some even got the Reissue MP Grimlock at $59.99 before the price got Jacked up to $79.99. I can see why it is priced this high. It's discourage them freaking scalpers and hoarders. But it also punishes those that wants an affordable MP Prowl. Hasbro's releases used to have extremely good value. MP Soundwave, for $110 or so, you get Soundwave along with all the cassette tapes and accessories. With MP Prime, the Trailer and everything for $99.99, about $150 less versus the TakaraTomy. In all honesty, how is Hasbro's version of Prowl worth it when it cost more than the TakaraTomy version? My KO Streak didn't come with the extra bits. I went with the cheapest price I can find on eBay and probably why it wasn't included. Was packed really nicely and I received it in about a week. Which was really cool for free shipping.

Yeah, I would rather get a KO Prowl than pay the cost for a Hasbro one

I waited for Hasbro's version thinking it would be reasonably priced, like Soundwave. For the price they're asking it should be Prowl and Streak in one box.

yep just like MP Prime..... True. I still cannot believe I managed to get Prime same here but i have to personally ask the TRU manager if they have stocks of it, first he said none....after a while a crew told him that there were stocks at the back that just arrive??? sounds "hordingly" fishy...but then again he called me back just when i was walking out and offered me the item....until today i havent opened my MP Prime....kept in its pristine glory.... sigh

YOTH MP 10 is on sale @ our local TRU for $99 CDN, I hate to say this but when I peak into its box I kinda like the dark RED & BLUE on him. Its like a MP10 Low Viz mid-night kinda thing. With the price Im kinda stoke in getting one but kinda resisting as well. MP Sunstorm is also on sale for $69 plus an extra $10 off when you buy on line. How can one resist?
