In a recent toy event Megahouse has FINALLY revealed a near complete product of RahXephon! Damn does it look nice! tendoutoys.blogspot.hk/2012/11/megahouse-variable-action-hi-spec.htmlAlso this will be in their Variable Action Hi-Spec line which tend to have a higher price and focuses on bigger mechas. Also announced in the VA Hi-Spec is another 80's classical super robot Choriki Robo Galatt! [ And fans of NG Lamune Knight will be happy to see them doing a VA Hi-Spec of King Sccacher!

Very nice! How is the quality of these particular figures? Do they take kindly to the constant posing some of us subject them to? I don't own any from this line. }D

Thanks Moleman, I think I have high hopes for the Rahxephon now. Hmm... after a quick Ebay search, there's only one release so far for this line. Only the Geass Gurren MK II? Gurren's listed as 160mm / 6.25" tall. Gold

I don't own any from this line. }D While I can only attest for the Guren MKII they released earlier this year, the quality of the figure is good, but not great. Joint tolerances and material construction is very good. However, the paint these use can be a little thin in some areas and mine had an odd case of glue slop being painted over. This was their first attempt at using diecast so I hope for Rahxephon they'll know better.

Meaghouse is infamous for their poor paint job and quality check with their items, specifically the Variable Action line. Nearly all my VA Granzorts have paint problems and I had to fix them myself. It's a bit unfortunate really, they have the idea and passion but not enough attention is put into the quality itself.

This was their first attempt at using diecast so I hope for Rahxephon they'll know better. Mine is kind of the opposite. Great paint job making the Guren Nishiki figure very nice to look at, but very inconsistent joint tolerance. My left wrist ball joint is as floppy as it can get, waist is not very snug either. Then when it comes to the clicky arm joints on the right arm, they barely click at all and wobbles a bit, doesn't really lock the arm in place. The figure feels heavy, but due to inconsistent joints, feels flimsy and not very playable. But the legs are strong and can stand/pose well (but I get floppy toes). For display, no problem. But not one of those figures you feel very solid and grab/pose often. Most screws are hidden, so no luck in fixing lose joints yourself that require any disassembling. No wonder it went on a big discount all over Japan (got it half price on Amazon Japan). I would be upset if I paid full price, and borderline acceptable at $70-80 (after shipping). I had pretty high expectation after reading great reviews on this, but it didn't turn out that good. But it was Megahouse first Hi-Spec figure, so hopefully they learn from it and improve on the RahXephon. Diecast content is not something you should worry about, if they follow what was done to Guren. It has quite a bit in it.

Some people's gurens were just fine, others had paint slop and varying degrees of looseness in the joints. Maybe Rahxehpon will go on deep clearence as well? ;D

If that is the case, I will not pre-order it. I will rather same some money by buying at a discount. ;D

The final product is looking pretty good. A bit pricey, but I may swing it down the road. I'm still a little worried about megahouse's paint quality.

Based on MegaHouse's inconsistency with the paint app QC, I will not pre-order and just wait for it to hit the sale bin.
