Gold, Thanks for sharing. Wasn't this made into SOC and Revoltech as well? I still want a SRC Grendizer....... Cheers, 70's Super Robot Fan

Hi 70srfan, yes it did have a Revoltech counterpart, it's actually the last Super Robot that came out for the line IIRC, after that it's mostly Pixar characters. Gold

Thanks again Gold.
The shipping kills the deal on these smaller items. I'll probably just get this and Gurren Lagann from my local Frank & Son warehouse.

Not sure how I feel about this one. I was really, really excited when we first heard about it a while back. However, I am not sure I like the paint job on this one. Compared with the SOC, and even the Revoltech, it just looks meh. It looks, plastic. Compared to almost all my other SRC it just fails. Where is the gloss?!?

I like it, but it will have to be displayed on its own, just like the Reideens. Gunbuster is one of those figures whose scale is crazy small compared to all other figures around it. But it still a classic Super Robot so I will get it. }D

Don't you think the paint just looks off on this one though? Too pale?

might just be the pic i have had a few of the SRC and the pictures do not do them justice they had very bright and colorful paint schemes, a few of the gaogaigar mechs have a beautiful metallic paint job on many parts. so this might just be the pictures itself

I really am not sure I like what I am seeing right now. I love Gunbuster. I just feel what we are seeing in that pic does not do it justice.

Well these are just prototypes so I'm sure the final product will be more "finished".

Agreed, it's too soon to judge paint apps at this stage. It's more likely the paint will be improved in the final stages than not. Personally though I'm on the fence with this one. I already have the SOC version and I have skipped the SRC Reideen, Shin Maz and Aquarion for the same reason. But doggone it, it's Gunbuster! One of my favorites from way back in high school. Decisions, decisions. lol. Oh and I take back what I said before in another thread about the rumor of Gunbuster possibly being transformable, there's no way those thighs can shaft into the lower legs, so transformation's out. I wonder if this means Bandai has renewed the license with Gainax for Gunbuster. If it is true, we might see a reissue of GX-34.

Don't get me wrong. I KNOW I will buy this guy. There is only 2 regular release SRC I have not gotten thus far. Gold the SRC Reideen, Shin Maz and Aquarion are all fantastic. I really like all 3 of them. I was not sure if I was going to get the last one but....he has a SWORD! Yeah, Super Robots with giant non-energy melee weapons...I am in.
I want Gunbuster. I love him. He is from my childhood. I just want them to fix the paint on this bad boy. Currently the paint job on the Revoltech one looks better. Give it at least the same finish as the SOC. Though, I would sure dig a bit of a metallic yellow striping on a nice gunmetal grey. Just sayin.

Gunbuster is probably one of my favorite mechs shows of all time. I have both the old Robot Museum and revoltech versions. Will definitely preorder this.

I didn't dig the anime(s) too much (mainly because Gunbuster pilots were girls), but the actual mecha is pretty cool. Plus a got a thing for robots that get destroyed in the last ditch effort to save humanity. }D

Yeah it really was a mix of a real and super robot anime, Gunbuster actually shows up very little in the series but when it does its badass!

How come there hasn't been a single figure of the RX-7 mechas from Gunbuster? I thought those were pretty cool as well. }D
