Nice review. I was wondering how Grendizer fits into the Spazer but I guess the existing photos should've been enough of a giveaway. Will you review the damn base too?

pretty awesome review gettershadow, if i have one complain about the MetaltechHLpro figure it would the that you need to disassemble Grendizer to put it on the Spazer as oppose like the SoC version you can put it in without doing so.
but all considered done, it still a nice figure.

I thought so too.. but I considered that the legs have to collapse to fit and over time the legs and feet can get all beat up by taking him in and out.. everything is a trade-off.. The HLpro way there is no chance of damage and no need to worry about the problems of making a Grendy fit inside a spazer as drawn in the anime.. because if you look, it would be impossible for Grendy to fit inside that little Spazer as it was drawn.. The way HLpro did it, they could keep the proper shape and not cause any damage to the figures.

It'll be interesting to see which route is CM taking with the new Grendy and it's saucer.

its gonna be amazing.. Im sure. That guy running HLpro is a total Grendy freak.. he will accept nothing but the best from the sculpts and the articulation. The MT01 platform is pretty old, things have advanced but look at it, it still holds its own against the new stuff. If you look at the Jin Jin, its got state of the art articulation with sliding panels that hide the hip joints the elbows are super good.. the new Grendy MT is gonna get that treatment.. I think it will hit the street in say a year or so..

It will most likely be the best Grendizer acton figure in terms of anime accuracy, with the CM's version taking the cake on gimmicks and size. The Gin-Gin looks excellent and the version 2 Grendizer will surely run circles around the proposed SRC version as well. }D

I love the Gin Gin body and articulation, but I hope they reconsider the head sculpt. Something seems a little off. I think the eyes need to be a little bigger.

From what Ive see so far with dealing with HLpro products, photos can be deceiving. When I got them in front of me, I realized that they looked alot better in person then they did in photos. When I try to video them, I just cant capture the way they actually look in person. I got Grendy Chrome, the Spazer and Giru Giru.. Im at the point were I just trust HLpro, I am getting that Trike next month, I didnt like the photos of the thing, I didnt like the Duke Fleed in his civilian clothes.. then someone posted a photo of the Bonus Duke Fleed that comes with the trike in his Red outfit and it was a total game changer. I am withholding my judgement on it until I have it in my hands.. Ill do a fair video review and tell everyone what my reaction to the thing was. I think its gonna be real good... its not a robot but its a Grendizer collectors piece so Im looking at it from that angle. As for the eyes on the Jin Jin, I trust that they did a good job on it, its hard to make a judgement on details like that until youve got it in your hands. Know what I mean? Some things dont photograph well but look great in person.

Yeah I cant wait til next month.. I could kinda buy it now but I really want to wait until next month so it doesnt put me in a economic pinch. I aslo want to figure out a good way to shoot it in the dark with the LED lights on.. thats the main gimmick with that thing and I want to capture it the right way in HD.
