I definitly prefer the larger combiners, they should just leave the development of smaller ones to SRC.

To me, SOC is about lot of diecast, large size and 70s/80s Japanese robots. Doesn't have to be complex cause it is all depends on the robot design. That sums up my feelings too. I love the big heavy combiners. But I also love the "figures" who can be posed and have a ton of die cast in them. Of course bigger is always better. Until my apartment runs out of space.

The only other SOC that I am dying to have is Balatak. They can stop releasing stuff after that. In fact, I would be okay if they stop now.

The CMS Balatack/Baratack got alot of complaints but 2 tiny magnets keeps mine standing straight up EVERY time. And CM's is my favorite company as some of you know,as they cater to my rare 70s Super Robot needs.Im just waiting for a nice Godam from them to complete the magnet type robots{Gakeen,Jeeg,Balatack,Godam)

I'll have to look for it. I recently was under eviction and had to move, I was in a hurry and packed most of my small loose robot parts inside the trays of my GX-02R and in other boxes. Now that I'm settled into my new place I'm not unpacking anything until I paint my room and put up new shelves for my robots. zozo-mag Thanks Magengar! I dont see his pilder in his head ?

Always had a thing for combiners which are my favorites. Second are "transformers", not necessarily a combiner but something with an alternate mode. Radeen, Daimos or Xabungle are examples. The bigger the better!

Size does matter for me...be it a combiner or non combiner. But beggar can't be chooser.

Ditto, I'd go with big over small too.
By big, I mean it should be 7-8 inches tall. It doesn't have to be complex, I look at the OVA Getters in the SOC line and I wish they were bit taller so they would fit in better with the other SOCs.

By big, I mean it should be 7-8 inches tall. Daimos is my shortest SoC. I'd prefer 10-12". It is for this reason that I haven't bought a Raideen and Gaiking.

As long as I like the character i could care less. It isnt like the SOC line is based on scale and what not. I just wish they would make the original Jeeg and Gakeen.

CM's Jeeg & Gakeen are both great (some of their better sets). But if you are a SOC purist or doesn't like CM's pricing (even though Gakeen had significant price drop at one point), then you just have to keep waiting. I just took Gakeen out of my storage and found a display place for it. And it feels as good as I remembered when I handle it. Very solid main robot (more so than Jeeg), though the 2 little sidekicks are a bit fiddly on the legs (small magnets).

I like both and I like diecast used when it makes sense. On the smaller ones you can use a higher percentage of metal because for the most part their "action figures". While on the larger ones with panels and parts shifting and stuff I rather have plastic used for parts like that with metal used in strategic places. I admit I love the feel of heft only metal can provide but I am willing to sacrifice it for ingenious engineering. We could probably have both, a huge combiner that's 90% metal but then price would go up and figures like Daioja or God Sigma would have prices that would dwarf Fewtures stuff.

Jeeg has clown shoes, and Gakeens mid section is just too stubby. Although i would take gakeen before jeeg, i got gx-42 as a placeholder in the meantime but gakeen i have none
