Not at the moment, since I'm just using my smartphone until I get back home. Waiting for your screen cap... Then will probably light a bit text color.

Things are looking a lot better. Keep this current color scheme. It is easier on the eye.

I've been switching between a bunch of skins, right now though I'm on the light blue version. It seems the easiest on the eyes with simple text and not to many color changes for viewed and un-viewed links.

I like the current dark purple/blue scheme with light text (only visible currently when not logged in, once logged in then back to the light blue & black text). The text can be a shade or two lighter to improve readability, while the background and blocks can be just a tad lighter so it leaves more room for color differentiation between the darker background and the lighter threads blocks (they look very close right now). The lighter you go, the more room (grayscale) you can play with, but too light will make things look wash out as you go too far. But the overall feels is nice, retaining some of the old look, but look slightly more updated (reminds me of the Titans colors in Z Gundam, dark blues with a bit of the orange and red touches) Another thing I may suggest is the solid black bands for each forum category can use either some gradient or a bit of blue/purple/grey instead of black. Still keep it the darkest color on screen (for obvious separation), but being a 100% black seems to not blend as well with all the blues and purples around it. But it is more of an aesthetic thing.
Hopefully more people dig this dark blue (Titans) color scheme, so we don't have to go back & forth a bunch of colors. This works for me, with some tweaks to make things more readable, and not too far off from the old version everyone got so used to, yet looks different enough as a face lift.

It's been fun watching the playing around with colors, and cool that the time is being spent to try it all.
Tnat said, Friday/Saturday colors, with the light blue main , and dark gray text was so far the best. Easiest on the eyes, on PC and Iphone, and looked better than common white.
Today/Sunday with the gray is AWFUL on every platform! Just as bad on the eyes as the glaring white from a few days ago.
Saturday pretty well had it nailed. Just my opinion out there.

Everything's darker shades of blue now. Feels easier on my eyes, especially after just waking up from sleep a while ago. lol

The current format seems to force the site over from the center of the screen to the left hand side leaving nearly the entire right half of the screen blank. (Not a good thing)
This is when viewed with Firefox and IE.

Thank you, but I have to earn the star sheriffs that I was given...
I am almost done with button pictures. I will keep the same for message editing, because people have the habits to use them.
Time to create new smileys and propose new avatars !

I love this!!! ....now, this smilie here ;D doesn't express our LOL strong enough, it weakens the expression of us bustin up laughin at something that's really funny. I miss the original version we had a while back. We could try this one or this one ...or, this one... ...nah, not that last one, it was my first avatar when I joined RJ. Well, reduce it small so it's inscale with the smilies. lol ;D otherwise, I like how the layout looks now. Nice work there, guys! zozo-mag

here's a mockery smilie for -as Ace Ventura would say- "jerkin yer chain"... ...nah, too harsh. lol another LOL smilie... ...this one, for cheering something on in a challengingly humorous way... ...or for an expression of joyous anxiety when anticipating a future action figure release or newly awaited toyline. I dunno, whatever smokes yer goat. ;D zozo-mag

I just finished some sprites... I am doing a bit everyday to bring something new and sticked to robot-japan.com... @ Tony : nice to see your enthousiasm ! About smileys, I will try something like designing a robot face with different expressions... Maybe in 3d, then it will help me to restart rigging basics in 3d (definitly not my skill)... The main problem is to keep smileys little (16px x 16px) and expressive. If they are big, they will create big space between text lines and turn posts look horrible. IMO, I prefer well typed post with pictures... I can remember Toysdaily animated smileys... very cool (but big). (my opinion again) The best smileys are DR Slump expressions based like this one :

To have a forum header shorter and adds free, my advice is to install Adblock Plus pluggin to your web browser. -> others benefits : no advertising before youtube movie or others, no pop up adds... Easy to customize and manage (website preferences, etc) adblockplus.orgBtw, will upload smileys tomorrow.
