seems these are finally in some sellers hands now. Anybody got one and can comment on quality compared to the original release of megatron collection #6.

I'm wondering if any retailer like BBTS actually orange-capped the last Megatron. If they are and if it's permanent I feel it's ruined(not only appearance but b/c of the silencer that should fit there but can't).

i think the orange or red tipped guns are for the US gun laws regarding replica guns.

i got one of these, ive not opened it yet but appearance says the exact same mould. the box layout is a bit different, the bubble hold the toys in reverse to the older reissue, so the handle and silencer point to the outside of the box, not in (im assuming all the older reissues had them the opposite way). The inner card section has the 'megatron 6 collection' writing upsidedown relative to the rest of the box and is under the scope section. The only other difference is that the telephone numbers and takara logo on the back of the box (left of the barcode) has a sticker over it with a different set of numbers (well im guessing they are telephone numbers.). So it seems that the toy is identical but i wont know til its open.

so i can be completely anal about this i just noticed something. FRom pictures of the older reissue its possible that the bubble moulding is just the same in the re-reissue but it has simply been inserted upside down, the toy components are held up very close to the plastic window and the bubble tray is upsidedown is such. At first i thought it was a mirrored bubble. anyway if it jsut upsidedown there may be no difference between this newer reissue and the original sans the sticker on the back of the box.

ok, i opened the box and yes it seems that the bubbles are simply upside down, in reversing tham the bubbles fit better in the box, the other way up is the 'wrong' way as the toys themselves being against the window push on the window more tan they should, if you see my point. Anyway the extra decepticon stickers are in there AND the mousepad!! A quicke check on the toy and a flip here and there and I can confirm that its an exact facsimile of the older reissue, top quality! the real bummer is that in comaring it to my older black 16S special reissue i broke on of the hand tabs from my old one!! that is unfortunate but ive had it for 5 years or so and love messing around with it so it was inevitable something was going to give on it!! the re-reissue much recommended.
