Pre-order up at ChiMungMung. US$89.90 + $20 air shipping. The box calls it "Goraion, Defender of the Universe". Thanks to twoducks for linking to that site in the MP Vehicle Voltron thread. I've never ordered from this store before, so I can't personally vouch for it. It proclaims "100% eBay feedback", but it seems it was kicked off eBay for selling bootleg Transformers. Though if I'm to believe the comments I've read, it didn't try to pass them as genuine products. So he was selling fakes, but was upfront enough about it. If that makes him a honest seller, that's your call. Anyway, speaking of eBay, it's also available at these stores : djfungshing (5580, 99.8%) US$109.99 with free shipping shoppingnow2008 (818, 99.5%) $US129.99 with free shipping Goodshipped said they would certainly carry the figure, but don't have it listed on eBay yet.

Whew. That's a bit high, especially compared to the prices of the ES Gokin stuff. That makes it a much harder sell. Thanks for the links, though!

What is the fair price for these things? My thought is $109 shipped is not a bad price. Just checked e-Bay and looks like they have sold about 3-4 at the 109 price.

Well, the ES Gokin Baikanfu (pictured earlier in this thread next to this Golion) cost me $115 when I got it, but it's also a transforming nesting doll figure that's extraordinarily complex. The more standard ES Gokin figures that don't transform (like Golion) are usually in the $50-75 range, depending on their size.
Still, if this guy is the price he is and there's no other way to get him, I guess the price you pay is the price you pay.

I am getting one. But the listing has it at 13 inches tall? That can't be right, probably 13cm maybe.

Definitely not 13inch. It's just another hastily edited Hong Kong eBay template. (It also says it's a Dragon Ball bobblehead.) ES Gokin Baikanfu was apparently 16cm tall, Mazinger was about 13cm. 13cm (~5") makes more sense.

Argh! I'm trying real' hard to stay away from these SD figures - the last thing that I need is to make my over-bloated collection even bigger by buying the same robots twice - but this one, even if more expensive than Fewture's ES Gokins, could prove to be especially difficult to resist... I mean... KITTEEEEEEHS!

I'm trying so hard to cut back on my spending but I feel like every month I start to equalize out my spending with what I'm selling off, more stuff pops up out of the blue...
This guy does look really nice. If I hadn't just ordered a Vehicle Voltron, I'd be tempted to sell my MP Voltron and replace it in my collection with this. Hmmmm....

very tempting. If i didn't have the MattyCollector 8" highly articulated (but non-separating) Voltron, I'd be tempted more. The ears look alot like the Voltron that you put figures in, from Paloosh Place toys (i think I got that name right)

Thanks for the info. I never new the cost of these figures. Same here on ordering one. I'm willing to pay the $109 shipped.
But I have been on a spending spree these past few months. I want it, but I bought 2 VVs (4 & 3 months ago), a GX-44S (last month), and a GX-59 Daltanious this month. I'm tapped out for a while.

I also ordered the MP Vehicle Voltron recently and we will see which one will arrive first. My cut back was due to not attending BotCon this year. I planned it and create a budget/cost for it and decided that the money is better spent buying the MP Vehicle Voltron and this SD Goraion. I like how they poke fun at the Japanese (or Asian) English accent by giving this Voltron the name GoRaion. We sometimes have trouble pronouncing the letter "L".

The webstore sold, until a month or two ago, ko's but they were all correctly labelled as such. It also had ko 3P stuff along the legit stuff, but again, all properly labelled as ko’s. Looks like Hasbro or Takara got them for selling ko of their products and those had to be taken down from the page. Now they only sell legit stuff. I used them to buy some TF downsized ko gestalts some month ago and later to get the Fanstoys Quakewave. In both cases everything arrived like I asked and in perfect condition. They even shipped me the Quakewave extra parts that were given later by the maker without asking any extra post. Great store in my book.

Plan on attending NYCC this year and this has greatly cut into my budget for it... But just worth it to see the COS-PLAY. Don't think they were poking fun about GoRaion (I think that would be too racial)... I'm guessing it's something with licensing. But looks wicked cool.

I don't mean they were poking fun of it by being racial or anything like that. I am Chinese myself, and I used to work with this elderly Chinese guy. And he speaks perfectly fine English but every now and then he would bust out the poor Chinese accent phrases like "u lika da fi lice?" And every one cracks up. I am just saying, they probably came up with the name because some have trouble pronouncing the letter L. And since this is a unofficial unlicense item, they came up with a great name. Can't wait to get my Go Rai On.

I'm Indian and we pronounce everything wrong. I think the guys at DREAM EX making this figure are brilliant. Their marketing for "Go Rai On" is so classical and excellent. And it's like "There you go WEP/CM... What are you gonna do now?!" I look at these guys and wonder how come the people at MP aren't doing it as good! They could learn a thing or two. My bet is you will get this one before MP's VV.

Been trying to look for information on the true actual height of this. Can anyone confirm in cm or inches?

Nice level! On par with the Fewture and Metalbuilt SD bots. That said, I would gladly exchange the diecast for plastic if the price was lower.
*Edit* It might have more diecast than other SD bots since the legs on this one are longer.
