Who is the manufacturer, what toy line? Is this for real, or a custom? zozo-mag

Thanks, but I doubt it would be from Rotobox... them folks are into custom urban vinyl such as dunnies.

Looks sweet. Following the URL on your pic (well worth a look btw, there's a whole gallery there), I found the names "Kid's Dream EX" and "Dreamtoy EX". Doesn't ring a bell. Looks like it's diecast : I found the last two pictures on this Italian forum : metalrobot.forumfree.it/?t=64481862&st=30I've translated the thread with Google Translate and I couldn't find any more info than the above, other than someone mentioning that it's from the same manufacturer that made "that Pizza Cat figure that is ofter mistaken for Fewture's". No idea what he's talking about, personnaly.

Well well well... look at that... It would be a Dream EX figure by Tong Meng (and not "Thong Men"... eh...) What looks like their Facebook page : www.facebook.com/TongmengDreamExThey made a 1/6 Bat-Signal spotlight that is still sold at some online stores (and eBay). Well, it's sold as 1/6, but some say it looks a bit smaller.

Hmmmmm....... thanks for chiming in, guys.
Yes, it looks like diecast alright; or perhaps some other material I dunno. The detail looks nice. I'm laughin at that bigazz head, but hey look at the size of it in that person's hand.
We'll just have to keep a close eye on this and see where it goes. Thanks for helping with the research.
I'm tempted to say........ lol.......... for the sake of Voltron fans........ hopefully this won't suffer......... .....the same fate as what the MP Diecast Vehicle Voltron is...... ....going through right now. ;D

Wow..... love that resemblance! Could this Voltron also be from the same line? Damn, now it makes me wanna go for another eye-shot at the Mazinger ex gokin! zozo-mag

No, different lines, different makers.

You're right, but Who? And also, this Voltron doesn't appear to separate into five individual lions... it's just Voltron in fully-formed robot mode. I'll even bet the eyes light up, powered by small pill-sized batteries, too. zozo-mag

Moved this topic from the General section since it seems to have diecast (70%!) Release date is May 2013, for 6500 Yen? Has 3 different face plates and LED light up eyes too. Also, if you look at their Facebook page, you'll see Vehicle Voltron in the works. Take note, this is not a licensed product (I think) but rather a third party release. Figure does not seem be transformable/separate into the 5 individual lions. Due to copyright issues, official title of the figure is "Defender of the Universe". Gold

If I were collecting these "SD" type gokins (such as the Mazingers) I'd certainly add this Voltron to my gear. Gold, thanks for moving the tread! zozo-mag

Thank you for bringing up the topic Magengar. I was totally unaware of this figure until I saw it a few minutes ago in the General topic section. Actionawesome, I'm not sure how one can get this figure, as , according to the Dream EX FB post, the product is not allowed to be sold on Ebay, so I'm guessing there's a copyright issue there. Due to copyright issues, official title of the figure is "Defender of the Universe". Gold

They seem to be also working on God Mars. The figures are cute, but they are not my cup of tea.

It's funny but that's the most anime accurate diecast Voltron out there.
