I don't have this, but here's what I know: - unpainted face - wings do not fold back properly - metal rod used to secure beak is too long, scratching the paintjob during transformation - some came packaged wrongly with Grimlock's sword A comparison posted on a Chinese TF forum. www.actoys.net/bbs/read.php?tid=162287For the bloodsucking prices they go for, they suck IMO.

Man, I hope that's not true for all of them. I've ordered two, along with a bunch of regular and black Optimus Primes. They'll be arriving in 8-10 weeks.
How do the Primes stack up against the originals? Any problems there?

Man, these just suck ! A lot of the seam lines aren't aligned properly, such as shown on the back of the legs and the arms. The back of the legs even have gaps! Seems like the material choice is also poor.

my swoop arrived. I feel a bit foolish for buying this at $100 and feel i'd like to resell it asap (Its still sealed)! but on the other hand I feel its a bit of fun to have a minty looking TF in box, it LOOKS great in the box. The guns and sword are in the bubble with the dinobot. Loose outside the bubble are the missiles, sticker sheet and instructions. i cant see any sign of the tech spec decoder and catalogue? that was also meant to be in there (maybe they are behind the card?? but i wont hold my breath). Anyway this doesnt really bother me as i know it was a risk buying it anyway. THis is the first KO ive bought and im usually really careful about my purchases (I only have about 40 TF comprised of reisses collection, reissue 'vintage box' type, vintage dinobots and most of the classics) and buy toys i REALLY like and leave the rest alone. Anyway im expecting some issues when/if i open the box but its still amazing this thing is a KO. It will be dissapointing if these things are $30 on ebay in a years time (well to those who paid the big price it will). If/when i open it i will post a mini review.
luckily i do see its not the grimlock sword and unlike a real TF dinobot reissue (if only!!) i wont treat this with kid gloves, its to be used and abused and if i need to modify it to get any QC issues fixed so be it!!

That's the attitude!
I still think it's amazing that someone created such convincing reissues. I have the cassette tapes, and I have to say it is exceptionally difficult to spot the difference between the originals and the bootlegs. Swoop may have a few more problems, but they don't sound too major, and I think it's still a kick to see one MIB again. Goof luck with yours, cyborgushcricket! Your $100 has earned you the right to enjoy this thing, so don't waste any time feeling bad about your purchase. What would be the point, anyway?

I would really love to get a KO swoop but not at $100. Maybe $50, just to repaint it into its anime colors.

shaxper, thanks for the positive comments. THeres been so much flack about this toy on some forums, people getting really heated over, it, i mean, hell its a silly toy (even if i did spend a weeks food ration on it) and its there to be enjoyed. i am most cetainly and 'open carefully and display all toys' person..............
ps, ive not seen the cassettes in person but they look very nice indeed.

ok, i opened the tape.........luckily the catalogue repro was behind the card but no tech specs. The repro catalogue had some sticking at the creases but overall look good, the instruction manual looks ike the real thing to my eyes. As for the toy in the bubble, well it all looks good, the chest paint seems intact, tomorrow i will carefully open and see how it really is! seriously though, ignoring any possible QC issues this thing really looks the part.
