Here are some recent reports from ACtoys.net that TakaraTomy will re-release TF G1 figures under its new label entitled Encore. Here are some of the first images that will be released under the new Encore label (formerly known as Transformers Collection): Convoy (Optimus Prime), Megatron, Soundwave and Starscream Thanks to Styker at ACtoys.net for the news. Thanks also to S250 of TFW2005.com for the heads-up.

Makes sense to me. Thanks HeerOsan!
Glad I held off the Megs #6 reissue which I thought was too much $$$. Any word when they'll roll out?

I don't think you could ever reissue those guys too many times. I sincerely hope we'll see some of them in the US (preferably after Hasbro terminates its exclusive contract with TRU).

Will these reissues have the same materials as the first G1 (hint: diecast materials)?!
I hope they reissue the whole dinobots team!

I just hope they reissue the harder to get ones like Ramjet, Thrust, Trailbreaker, ironhide and Ratchet, since those didn't get the Hasbro release treatment and the original E-Hobby reissue exclusives of those I mentioned were limited to 1000 pieces each. Gold

Totally agree with ya Shax. I do hope they continue with new figures they haven't done yet though. Like what Niko and Gold said.

kind of sick of the same charactor being reissue. what is the point. but i may get a soundwave because i missed it. First of all, they know retailers and collectors are going to stock up anytime Prime and Megs are reissued. Second, like you, a lot of people missed out on some of these guys the first few times around. There's always going to be someone out there looking for a G1 Prime, Megatron, Soundwave, or Starscream. They're the most commonly sought after TFs of all time. I'm sure Takara Tomy is using these super popular releases to gauge the potential of selling other reissues. If these guys don't fly off the shelves (as they should), then there probably won't be anymore reissues after. If these guys can't sell widely, then no other reissue is going to sell well either. Die hards like you and me want the more obscure TFs, but the ones that will sell the best are the classics.

Totally agree with ya Shax. I do hope they continue with new figures they haven't done yet though. Like what Niko and Gold said. Hello! I found this page while looking for info about the TF Encore line. I would like Takara to reissue more toys too, in particular Diaclone variants, first of all Blue Bluestreak. I recently created an online petition for a reissue Blue Bluestreak that I will submit to Takara next summer. Now I think the Encore line is a chance to see more eHobby recolors. 181 persons have already signed. I can't promise we'll get a reissue Blue Bluestreak; however, if you want to contribute to letting Takara know what collectors really want, this is the occasion to do it. It will take one minute. Providing your real name would make the whole thing more credible; you have the possibility to hide it in the list. The address for the petition is: petitionthem.com/default.asp?sect=detail&pet=3812Thanks in advance for your contribution! Every signature is an additional chance. autobotmaintenance

Silverstreak was just a new name given by Hasbro to Bluestreak because they lost the copyright to the first one. It is also better adapted to the actual color of the G1 toy. In Japan, he is just named 'Streak', it's more simple

what is the different between the silverstreak and blusetreak? besides the weapen does not fire. The TRU Silver Streak has silver chrome, whereas I believe Bluestreak was just gray.
