As much as I like tge LED eyes, I can't justify getting another of the same old figure. For $50 to $100 maybe, but more than that, I just can't see it happening. I already have four of those things altogether! }|

Some LED gimmicks I like because it makes sense, like with the police lights on the Ingrams, but this isn't all that special. I guess they had to come up with something that made this version different than the limited edition and this was about the easiest thing they could think of. I would much rather have spring loaded fists than light up eyes.

Can you buy the stand by itself? Now see, I would buy the stand just to get it and the weapons for my 20th. If they were smart they would offer the stand by itself to suck in all those that have a masterpiece or anniversary Voltron already.

WEP owns the IP for Voltron, Golion, and Dairugger so it doesn't matter if Toynami makes a toy and call it Golion or Voltron. The same with Miracle they could have called it Dairugger but went with Voltron since the name is more recognizable. I thought TOEI still owns the Golion IP in Japan, that's why Bandai was able to include him in Super Robot Wars W last 2007. Please correct me if I'm wrong. My points are: • If TOEI owns the rights to Golion in Japan, then Bandai can still acquire the license from TOEI to produce an SOC version, BUT it will be for sale in JAPAN ONLY. • They'll only get in trouble with WEP if they start selling it overseas, and Bandai America doesn't distribute the SOC line in the US. Bluefin is the the US distributor of SOCs in America and I'm not sure what kind of relationship they have with Bandai. • If SOC Golion becomes a reality, can WEP stop an online retailer like HLJ or Amiami from selling the figure to US customers even though they are not based in the US? Toei thought they did and in fact were going to make a Golion/Voltron movie but WEP stepped in and they both went to court. It's been a long battle between these two where they've gone to court at least twice, the last time being 2010 with WEP winning most times. Suffice to say at this present moment WEP owns the animation(includes comics, printed art, video games) rights to Golion, Dairugger, and Voltron, any and all licensed toy designs, and I'm not 100% sure but all rights to live action versions of these properties.

Hehe, what a fine mess TOEI got themselves into, they should have known better. Or they should have gotten better lawyers But seriously, I hope somebody comes out to officially clear this up once and for all.

They were actually going to offer the stand/weapons set a long time ago but, for some reason it became vaporware. I had it on pre-order for the longest time on BBTS til they finally lost hope of it coming out. Watari: well golion was a failure in Japan and at the time Toei was more than happy to be rid of it. They had no way of knowing it would be a hit here in the States.

Probably around $200 to $250. And they said they are not 100% sure the stand will be included.

The 20th Anny is selling at $200. So they have to add more value to this guy to make him move. I can only assume the stand has to be included to add value. If they don't include it, not many sales are happening on this guy. Why buy him when, you can pick up the 20th Anny Voltron.

Funny but I think the dream ex golion is way better than this... LMAO. I had the same though. The figure fits in nicely with Super Robot Wars.

Funny but I think the dream ex golion is way better than this... I agree. Never liked the proportions of the Toynami one; that thin waist is weird. The dream ex golion on the other hand looks like the sd version of a toy with cool proportions... like the Bandai one with no lion legs that we could be getting

you can always try contacting Bob Koplar on his facebook account That's who I tried to contact with no response (just couldn't remember the name). The Koplar family has owned the license all this time. They are WEP.

There is no chance that they will make new molds though. That's why they swooped in to renew license, to make some more relatively easy money.

smh i think it just comes down to quanity over quality. This may sound messed up but i think wep knows bandai will knock the soc golion outta the water if they did it and they know customers want it but they dont give a crap because they want to save money and bring out an outdated figure with lighting eyes. Really wep, like bandai couldnt do that smh. It seems like these days, with games, products, figures, and Voltron especially. Ugh i hate wep so much right now smh.

like i dont understand how wep thinks over licensing choices. like youll pick mattel(yep the clowns that make barbie)and toynami(who isnt that bad but they had theyre chance and not to mention the plastic version was imo better then the masterpiece lol) over one of the greatest companies in making action figures(and note how almost every soc(even if the soc isnt as good as previous or later releases)still ends up being a nice quality figure overall). Does anyone on here remember how the prototype masterpiece looked with the white thighs and flush chest plate(there probably more things different), but anyways the way that figure looked was awesome. Yea it didnt have the hidden lion legs or any of that but still proportions looked pretty solid, not saying the actual retail one didnt but it didnt look nowhere near as good. If they make this re release the way the prototype was design then i may consider a purchase but its time for an anime accurate diecast combining golion. Sad week for voltron/golion fans.

I hope that bandai still goes for trying to do a soc golion(f the license pu&^ys). Maybe they can call it lionbot or gorian or something but bandai wants to do a soc golion, why not just let them do it. Whats worst is banadi was even gonna do this bad boy to make it for north american and japanese market(i think thats what i heard) but we have wep and toynami to thank for it not happening smh. Fn idiots(sorry for rant but this really erked me to an extreme as this is something golion/voltron fans would have gone ape sh*t for and i would be happy to buy 5 soc golions but guess not smh).
