Ordered couple of in-stock items from AE, but haven't tried to pre-order from them yet. I think you have to pay full upon pre-order, unlike amiami. My only issue with them is that their customer service is non-existent, tried it before, they just ignored my inquiry. Thanks, much for the info! I think I'll just stick with BBTS or Amiami. I heard that they did want payment up front, but had really good PO pricing. The customer service bit is necessary though. Yeah! This guy is big!

Actually, in my case and a few other folks that I know, Anime-Export has been the best of all online shopping places, with AWESOME customer service. I guess Erika Sato was not the one handling your customer service needs? Years ago, Anime-Export customer service sucked, but Erika turned that around 180 degrees. But yeah, your order will not be placed until you pay for the item in full. The shipping fee is charged separately once the item is released. }D

With all that said, unless you really want the GaoGaiGar right away, you will definitely save a ton of money by purchasing it from BBTS if you're in the USA. EMS shipping charges are a killer for those big SOCs... }D

Love this photo. *sigh* With all the modern toy making/designing technology, Bandai could not make the articulated hands a little smaller, and more proportionate to the rest of the figure? What gives??? }|

Actually, I did just submit a PO at BBTS for now. While I'm excited for this, I'm going to need to see what my cash-flow looks like the next few months before the holidays. About the hands...yeah, I do wish Bandai would've engineered them to be a bit smaller, but I don't find them as distracting as I did a while back. Here's their blog about the sample they got. Well, those hands... yeah, they're a bit bigger than needed, but hey! We still get fist hands for the transformation, which is fine, and those are in proportion. Also, checking out the amiami blog photos, I'm noticing some interesting things: GaoGaiGar's forearms seem like will attach magnetically to Liner Gao. Talking about Liner Gao, looks like it will have working plastic wheels and Drill Gao treads... So those treads are segmented, they're not a single rubber strip. But what are they made out of? I'm gonna say plastic, rubber segments wouldn't work that well.

Yeah, I'll go for domestic sellers for this one. While Amiami or similar places has good initial price, they almost always end up costing more after shipping is added (my Tryder for example). Pre-ordered mine at BBTS, and may jump onto a better deal if I see one later. Shipping cost me more than $50 on Tryder from Amiami. Adding that to GX-68, BBTS is still $20 cheaper shipped. Since I don't ship/open many of my SOCs right away, I'll definitely go for the patient route, say if Amazon or some other reliable online shop has a better deal, or just stick with BBTS.
In terms of Anime-Export, the customer service can be really good and really bad. Like TMZ said, if Erika Sato is handling your replies, she is very nice and will follow up your stuff. But there are indeed times that your inquiries can be completely ignored. In my case, they somehow have issues sending me any replies (she said, unless they used their ebay email account), causing instances of me writing them a few times within a month with zero reply and losing some on hold items in my older orders in the process. Eventually, Erika sorted it all out for me, and I finally received everything 2-3 months later. But the fact that they have trouble replying me due to my email account (they are the only person ever had that issue in my 15-20 years of using my same email account) make me hesitate to buy from them again, unless it is something in-stock and hassle free. So customer service there is hit and miss, depends if you can get Erika to help.

the size of his hands are correct in its proportions, compare to the actual ones that come out of the arms itself they would be extremly small in the entire overall look.

WHAT?! How are those hands correct in proportions? Have you seen the anime? They are definitely not proportional to the rest of the arms... The SRC has proportionate hands. The SOC, not so much on those articulated ones. Reminds me of the CM's Grendizer's giant articulated hands. }|
