Yeah but Franky is'nt a SR,and FRANKLY Id rather forget its even in the SOC line! LOL In fact, even if I bought it and loved it, I consider it being part of the Chogokin line. Not the SoC. He's not a classic super robot (even if he parodies and pokes fun at them) and he's not part of a mecha show. But he IS a super robot nonetheless, he fits the description perfectly no pal,srs have pilots and are not sentient.same reason why transformers are not srs.just paid amiami!

I'm pretty sure they'll ship yours out before then. They're usually pretty quick shipping out once an order is paid.

And TaurusOxford as well. I'm not talking about Franky (which is a person, a cyborg to be specific), I'm talking about Franky Shogun. And it is a Super Robot. Sorry for the OT

I don't think it is. Not every robot in anime is in the Super Robot category. }D

I don't think it is. Not every robot in anime is in the Super Robot category. }D Exactly! Just look at the Gundams. They are real robots that used conventional weapons. The only Gundam that came very close to be a super robot was the Ex-S. Anyway, back on topic. Since Nippon-Yasan will be closed from 12/27 until 1/4. I would not be surprised is they ship GGG, 40the anniversary Mazinger and Aphrodite on the week of 1/5.

Sorry for the OT No offense MF,its just our opinions, and what we know about SR history...I remember part of the definition of a true SR is one with a pilot who shouts out the power moves of the SR.does Franky? I dont know much about the cartoon, but it doesnt look even remotely like an SR to me,its rather a comedic parody of a strange converting robot. MF would you like it any less if it were proven not a true SR to you? Because if you like it,you like it,who cares about convincing us,I just personally dont put it in the SR category..to each his own.Its cool and gimmicky just not my cup of tea,but that is not why I wouldnt call it an SR just because i dont care for it. One thing i find VERY STRANGE is Ive been warming up to that strange Fujico Doraemon Combiner, dont ask me why,it reminds me of animes like Time Bokan,Yatterman etc which i like very much...I might even buy it if it goes on sale for under 100$,the leg articulation is almost non existant....I wouldnt call it a SR either, but it resembles one more than the Franky does to me..defnately a guilty pleasure, its much more appealing to me than the Mickey Mouse one for sure..

Mhm Eiichiro Oda, the creator of one piece is a fan of robots (just like any other self-respecting Japanese) and he decided to include a SR in his show, exagerating the cliches of the genre Franky, the mechanic of the crew, is a cyborg and decides to build a super robot, formed by combining two vehicles, in case some tougher-than-usual enemies appear. And the General is a proper SR: the cockpit is inside the belly (weird, I know) and Franky shouts out the names of the attack every time, hehe. It is a super robot. Even if it is meant as a parody... it's a joke SR. But a SR nonetheless. Ok enough with the OT. I just wanted to clarify everything As for if I'd still like it, yes absolutely. I like it's quirky design, and there's more: we could say it's partially responsible for my actual love for japanese robots. So yeah, it's an important figure for me

I like it's quirky design, and there's more: we could say it's partially responsible for my actual love for japanese robots. So yeah, it's an important figure for me Mechanical Flesh, you are entitled to your own opinion, but you definitely have the SR definition messed up. Sure General Franky was a giant robot made up of two vehicles that were built of some exotic metal. But aside from the sword, it had no special weapons. Heck, all special attacks came from Franky. I do not even recall Franky calling it a super robot. Sure it was a gag, but this is not a super robot. In fact that green robot from Crayon Shin Chan, was also a gag but it was closer to a super robot than General Franky. What is next? Are you also going to claim that all robots from the Sentai series are also super robots?!? On a sidea note, I am warming up to the SOC General Franky, and it looks like a really fun toy to mess with. So I would not mind buying it if I have the chance. Back on SOC GGG.
