Oh sorry. Just some general input on the toy from a Hello Kitty lover's point of view. (Not me but my wife) c",) I showed her a pic of this when it was first announced and she said it is hello kitty but not something she'd buy. I guess she's more into the stuffed toy type where you could squeeze it and cuddle. Ewww! Lol!

My wife is a Hello Kitty lover but after showing this to her she said Hello Kitty loses it's cute factor being metal. I think she has a point. I don't know if you were responding to me or not. I was talking about kantam Robo in my post above (I edited it to reflect that). As far as what your wife said about hello kitty, I don't think it loses it's cute factor, but I agree it isn't really "hello kitty" - it's not supposed to be though, it's supposed to be a chogokin that looks like hello kitty, and it does that very well! I'm actually seriously contemplating buying one with its old school base and all. It's supposed to be a mecha driven by hello kitty.

I factually know many many full growns who like Hello Kitty line secretly...like a sick guilty pleasure. We buy it for our wives GFs, andour daughters when actually we really are buying it for ourselves. he he he. . You know who you are!! guilty as charged!! Hello Kitty is so darn cute, cool and charming. Hello Kitty Chogokinized? Oh hell yes, that,s a recipe for success.

I honestly like it.

I wonder what are the chances this Hello Kitty goes the way of Super Robot Chogokin Katam Robo?(AKA Green Crayon Robot). Its still available at Amiami and HLJ so sales might not be as good as Bandai expected?

Hi all, here's a quick look at the 40th Anniversary Hello Kitty Chogokin. To remove the plastic sheet on Kitty's neck, just lift her head up and tug, the plastic is pre-cut. Well... now here's something I never thought I would buy and enjoy. Even from just holding the box, you can already tell it's heavy. Diecast all around except for the arms, hands, the red ribbon and canopy on her head. Very impressive weight given the relatively low price point. Weighs roughly 411 Grams! Display base Optional parts are all stored underneath. Hello Kitty pilot figure does not sport any articulation ,sadly. Pushing the button on the back of the left ear pops out the ribbon to the front and opens up the canopy at the same time. The eye changing gimmick is done by pressing the button inside the c0ckpit. Normal Active (? Not sure what it's really called) Angry Chogokin Kitty also comes with spring-loaded rocket punch fists. She also transforms into "Drive Mode" via the wheels on her behind folding down. Metal wheels all around. Her "Drive Mode" actually looks like her iconic "sitting pose". lol... Attaching the ribbon parts to her feet puts Chogokin Hello Kitty in Dive mode. Optional parts on her display base help with the pose. The ribbon can also be transfigured into "wings" on her back for "flight mode" As great as this toy is, there are a few negatives. -The legs, even though ratchet-jointed, don't seem quite strong enough to hold the top heavy figure. Don't expect to be able to leave the figure action-posed very well aside from the standing pose. The good news is that the joints do hold up for the "swimming pose". -The rocket punches have hair-triggers. They can pop off even from just moving the arm. -Speaking of the arms, the articulation is limited to just straight cuts, no side articulation or elbow joints. Still, this figure has so much metal and cool features on it, it takes the edge off some of the negatives. Plus the low price really sweetens the deal. Man, now I'm kind of wishing I picked up the Chogokin Panda Z a few years back, that would look great next to this. Gold

Got mine from Amazon for my 21 month old daughter. As soon as I saw the video from Chachipower, I knew that I had to have this Gokin. It is heavy and cute as well. I have it proudly displayed on my shelf with my other SOC's. Additionally, the price versus weight is very reasonable. For those of you sitting on the fence, don't.It's Hello Kitty for goodness sake. Need I say more?
