I notice CM's gets quite a bit of hate for 1 bad (albeit really bad) release but very little forgiveness for some really amazing stuff they've given us in the past. I've seen some really really bad QC from Fewture and they get a pass and people lining up to spend $500 each time. Yes because the figures Fewture makes are forgiven because they make nothing but the top popular guys.CMs makes the real deal Super Robots,so no one likes characters that they never heard of or that no one else is buying {herd mentality},so when they made Grendizer it was a huge deal when it tanked, because no one took notice to all the great rare Super Robots thay made, and to them CMS is teh company that made Grendizer, and nothing else..duh Sankhan who? I dare some of you SOC only types to buy one of the Time bokan insects, you might love it,oh i forgot its not Getter related.

I thought CM's had an amazing lineup (not all winners) that was extremely diverse and offered a great variety to collections, like Evolution Toys is doing now. I'm definitely not a fan of Fewture. To me Super Robots had clean lines, whether curved or boxy they were clean, but Fewture has turned them into abominations (1901 and 1969 Mazingers and the recent Getters) with jagged lines and horrible looking mechanics.

LOL... and don't forget their "Terminator" skulls... with human teeth! But the Fewture figures were never intended to take the place of the actual characters of anime and mangas. They are supposed to be a twisted representation of those. }D

The Fewture Ex Gokins? I have to disagree with you there bro. Unlike the Sentai and Armored Core robots, that do look like they are made of parts just thrown together, the Fewture releases still retain most of the classic shapes of the original characters, just tweaked a little. As a matter of fact, Fewture's last ex gokin releases, the Getter G Team, is almost too close to the originals IMO. }D

I don't know where the idea that the SOC line was/is Mazinger and Getter-centric? A argument could be argued that there is a a lot Mazingers in the line but not the Getters. As for the CM's being more diversified if you take away the GGG and Mospeada stuff that would be almost half the line right there. Not counting re-colors and accessory sets they really only had Goshogun, Baldios, Gakeen, Barattack, Jeeg, Gordian, Grendizer, Sankan-oh, Gyakuten-oh, Boss Palder and maybe Tetsukyojin in what you could call Classic SR's. Compared to Mazinger, Great Mazinger, Grendizer, Getter Robo, Combattler, Voltes, Daimos, Getter Robo G, Ideon, Daltanius, Godmars, God Sigma, Gaiking, Reideen, Daioja, Danguard, Daitarn, Zambot, Tetsujin, the Mazinger girls etc. etc. If anything the SOC line was and has been the most diversified lines ever. Maybe not as left field as some CM choices but in the end which line is still going and besides Grendizer the rest of the CM's I own were heavily discounted I got Gakeen for $90 and even less for Goshogun and Baldios.
Ultimately it boils down to sales and profit margins, if you can't meet those it doesn't matter how eccentric or diversified your selection is.

With that said I do wish CM released Gaiking the Great, Maxfactory would have released Dancouga Nova, and Bandai would get off their butt and release all those SRC's they have shown.

Unfortunately, the GN-U line did not meet Yamato's sales expectations. And the line was quietly killed, which in my opinion was quite a shame.

On the GN-U Hagane line they made Groizner-X (in blue, limited edition green "Manga" colored, unconfirmed limited edition black), Braiger, and Danguard Ace (in anime colors , and metallic).
The GN-U Dou line had more releases which I am too lazy to list.

Usually with CMs the limited versions are the anime ones, its backward.Baldios,Gakeen,Tets,Grendizer and more the regular ones are metallic, the anime versions are limited, but its not consistent, other ones like Gordian,Jeeg etc the regular versions are anime and metallic are limited! its weird with CMs.
