I would be enjoying this guy way more if I didn't have to hunt for the hip armor in the carpet after every pose I make with it. is there an easy fix that anyone can think of that doesn't involve glue?

Woo, thankfully one of my real estate showings had an "emergency"(yeah right!) and cancelled on me so I could pick up my package from my apartment manger's office before they closed. Too tired for anything more than these poses tonight. I was surprised at how much more tall Gaiking is than Black Getter though. My hip armor seems to be fine and held on through quite the struggle of getting the damned hands on and testing all the articulation. I can not even begin to describe what a friggin' nightmare getting the proper hands on was and I am a very strong guy.

I glued mine.... One of My hands were also extremely difficult put on.
Another caution with mine was NOT to hold it by anything above waist. The way it was engineered, If i were to hold it by the head then wholething would come crashing down.....except the top part that im holding of course.
But even after all that, its extremely nice figure to own..... All the lovely sliding joints and even just the token alloys are marvel to watch and a joy to feel.

Yeah, I like him a lot but he is super fidgety and prone to falling if not posed just right. Kinda loose in some joints too. I have no problem holding him by the chest face and the "scrander" on the back with pressure applied to both but while wrestling with the hands he came apart into his three component pieces but the waist armor held, LoL!

Oh yeah, I was also disappointed that there was no stand included. I had Black Getter in a great leaping attack pose on the stand but it didn't look right placing Gaiking next to him without his own stand. Black Getter will get a Kung Fu pose tomorrow.

Must have been too many Gaikings going out the door because the sale price is gone even though the toy is still in the "Spring Sale" listing. Dino Getter 2 still reflects its sale price.

I've figured out the secret to changing hands on Gaiking that at least minimizes the damage. Pull the forearms off at the elbow. Hold the forearm and wrestle the hand off and on. Then put the arm back on. At least this way you are not dealing with the full figure flopping around and shedding parts.

Hah! I found what I think is a safe and acceptable way to secure the hip armor. and will likely work with other more problematic parts to things. I went rummaging in my Modeling and Model Railroad supplies and discovered I still had a bottle of this stuff. www.microscale.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=MD&Product_Code=MI-10&Category_Code=FINPRODIt's called Micro Liquitape from Microscale. If you ever did any modeling you likely know their decal solutions. It's a very weak temporary white glue. Just tacky enough to hold things in place for display. And it peels off/cleans up with water leaving no marks or damage. Model Railroaders use it for things like positioning little people throughout the layouts, as you can just pluck them up and put them elsewhere. It's great for anything you don't want to be permanent or damaged. You can find it at most Hobby Stores that sell Railroad stuff. Just one thing to be careful of. It won't stain or permanently stick to or damage plastic or paint. But only use a teeny amount, and don't get it on the cloth. It dries clear and only takes a very small amount to hold a light part in place. Not even a drop. It can be great for positioning small things for photography.
