I think I read somewhere that... since the line got so popular, they decided to extend it? With more items coming out in the next few months...? Like, 11 new items, at 20 euros each (ugh). But the official site says nothing yet. What happened is some got skipped over and teh number system got weird,a couple like Infernal Emperorand a couple generals like Birdler, and teh 4 legged general were specials, since they were so hard to get or never made they added them on theend...so more than 50..

But the official site says nothing yet. Oh yeah they end up being like 40$ each, but if you by up to 3 or 4 they charge only for one shipping, some places anyways.I had to have at least a few of these, want all the generals but waiting to see if someone puts a set together to buy instead of getting them as they come out, remember some are BIG like the ones I have at 4-5 inches, some are half that size.see top pic with SRC Maz to see teh big ones like I have.. Yeah, the sub-generals from the Great Mazinger show are all in this line, which is neat, and are in proportion with the SRC Mazingers, which is even better. Too bad they just gave 'em static poses. Oh well. I'm still wondering if I shouldget it or not. If I do, I better get it all together, once everything has come out. Probably there're some people here in Italy that are getting ready just for that. The problem is the cost, all the items together would probably be worth hundreds of euros... also, they'd take up a lot of space. But at the same time, if I didn't get it I'm afraid I'd miss out on something unique. After all, many many characters from Nagai's works are present in this line, and many of them have never been made before in toy form (like the aforementioned underlings of the Great General of Darkness). Tough choice...

I wonder if the manufacturer was trying to go for "scale" with those Mycenean generals. Referring back to the Great Mazinger series, the Mycenean forces were a very structured military group with Ankoku Daishogun ranking at the top as commander (and above him was the lord Dark Emperor, who was only seldom seen).
Size-wise, Ankoku Daishogun was the tallest general; while all the other generals were smaller in size according to their ranks. Arch-duke Gorgon is the smallest of the commanding officers, of course he's just an arch-duke.
So, perhaps these Mycenean figures were sized up to reflect that aspect? I dunno. But I'm glad to see most of the Mazinger/Great Mazinger villains are being addressed in collectable novelty form, and this toy line handles that so well. The ancient Roman Empire is one of the most fascinating cultures in military history.
@ Baron: ...yes, back in those days many believed Nero was the "Antichrist" because he campaigned heavily against Christianity, heretics, and any other dissidence whatsoever. He persecuted and rounded up Christians wherever they hid, imprisoned them and subjected them to torture and execution in coliseum games. He literally LIT up a town square at night with the bodies of crucified martyrs, by setting them on fire.

The ancient Roman Empire is one of the most fascinating cultures in military history. That, that's for sure, I agree with you. ? But the Micenean lived centuries before the Romans, they have nothing in common...

Oh god Sorry guys, I'll clean up later... Today I went to a comic store nearby, they had some of these figures exposed, from the Go Nagai Collection. They were Jeeg, Maz, Great Maz and Grendizer. I checked them out just to get a better sense of proportions, and then I noticed something. Grendizer's forearm spikes were woefully, deplorably painted they really were the worst paint aps I've ever seen on a figure to date. Gosh I had to take a picture, I forgot... the paint was in all the wrong places, seemed like it "melted" somehow (but no, it was just someone's shaky hands) and so you ended up with red-ish streaks and dots on the WHITE, on the upper arm yes terrible, just terrible. Both arms ruined. Man, if I ever get into collecting this line, I'll have to make sure that each and every single figure has no paint problems. I'll have nightmares tonight...

There is little point in getting the robots those are redundant, whats good to collect in this line are pilots or the generals, humanoids are what its about, the other things like ships and SRs are a WASTE of money and look like hell. They are SMALLER than the Generals too! At least Jeeg is! So far im VERY HAPPY with the 3 I own!

The gashapons were always painted nicely for their tiny size. zozo-mag

Beware of Ebay seller clarence_24 from Italy. I purchased several Go Nagai Collection figures from him and asked for combined shipping. He said it was $35 USD for Air Mail, and $60 USD for EMS. I paid him the $60 USD to use EMS shipping Service, and he turned around and shipped them Air Mail - scamming $25 off the shipping. And this is the reason why I HATE buying anything from Italy! A large chunk of Italian sellers will screw you in a heartbeat. I am contacting Paypal to see if they can get me a partial refund for the shipping difference. But I have to wait until the box gets here... IF it gets here at all... }[

Well, the guy has not replied to any of my e-mails, and the tracking number he gave me doesn't even show up in the Italian Postal Tracking system. I guess I'll be contacting Paypal this Friday to rattle his cage. Also, I went back and checked the Paypal transaction, and realized I had sent him not $25 extra dollars, It was $60 extra! And the little scumbag just kept his mouth shut. I'm sorry, but I have yet to have a pleasant transaction with an Italian seller. There is always something that gets screwed in the process, communication, item description, shipping... something always goes south. }|

I guess. I did send him a message through Paypal. Guess what?... He replied right away! He then came up with all sorts of excuses. Even asked if I had received the package yet! This douchemouth must've thought he was dealing with a kid or something! This morning he sends me an email with an EMS tracking number on it, for a package that was just shipped YESTERDAY afternoon! So... yeah. Baron, I've just seen General Birdlier on Ebay. If you decide to order one, please let me know. We'll split the shipping. }|

Update... got the package today. However, this dude wantef to save money (my money) on shipping, and squeezed the nine thin cardboard boxes into a not so big shopping box. Of course, now I have nine figures whose original window packages are squished. What pisses me off the most is that I paid this guy $60 for EMS, and he only paid $44 to ship the "recycled" box. Sucks, but I've seen this happen many times, so, I can accept it. However, on top of that, this guy still refuses to return the overpayment of $36 I sent him by mistake, and dared call me dishonest on top of that!!! He keeps money that's not his and calls me dishonest?!!! Wow! }|

In what it has to be the fastest Paypal Resolution I've ever seen in my life, they already got me my $36 dollars back! I don't know what they told the seller, but in less than three hours they got me my money. Maybe he's got more complaints in his Paypal account? No matter... I got my money, and that's what counts. Wish my figure boxes were mint, but at least the figures are not broken. Oh well, just stay away from this Ebay douchebag - clarence_24 - and you'll be fine! }D
