When it comes to gimmicks, I love firing fists, boobs etc. For fists I would prefer an alternate set of forearms to use with gimmick and a standard set but this could jack up price. I also love LED gimmicks but rarely show em off so jts more of the initial wow factor or to once in a while show a friend. i used to hate electronics but if done well I like em.I spe t a good hour messing with DX Maz when I got it

I'm still a kid at heart. I love firing gimmicks. On the other hand batteries are no no for obvious reasons like leakage. GX-31V remains my favorite SOC!.

But the DX Maz? I often play with the lights and effects now and then. Matter of fact, I had just bought a new mega-pack of batteries for it a couple months ago as the original first pack had already died out! zozo-mag

Do you guys keep your fists cocked and loaded on SOCs??Ive heard this can cause distressed springs,But I do it.I dont have them loaded when it involves extras though, for instance on Gx-01Rs base..the extra fists are loose from the springs.Sometimes you can get a fist that doesnt stay locked! all sorts of issues.Missiles same thing. Good points. Serious question: Does this mean the spring loaded breast missiles on GX-08 Aphrodai A will eventually fall off? She'll have no tetas?

Well, maybe they won't fall out unless you shake the figure? Even if the springs "lose strength" overtime, the plastic tabs that keep things in place should continue to, well, keep things in place right? Nothing should fall off, in theory. They'll just shoot out in a less powerful way, but I'm not concerned with such things. Display-wise, there should be no problems. Besides, there are some figures which have to be displayed with some springs in tension, like the GX-01Rs (or else they'd have a giant hole in their stomachs), the Mazinger ladies, etc.

I absolutely LOVE firing gimmicks as it was something I remember from my childhood... there's nothing like the knowledge of owning a toy that has the potential of shooting your eye out I really hope that more modern toys take this silly little but awesome gimmick into consideration.

YES to gimmicks! It's a big part of why robot toys have attraction in the first place.
....the rest of you are wrong...LOL!!

Thank you for giving me peace of mind! I like Aprodite's breast missiles right where they are.

I like my gokin as gimmick loaded as possible. Firing missiles. Transformations. Opening hatches and panels. Gizmos and accessories. Etc. I will gladly sacrifice some degree of posability for such. The SRC line often disappoints me for how much of the Robots core features they sacrifice to make them Super Action Figures. I'm a child of the 70's. I remember how cool toys were before some dipsh*t killed himself with a Colonial Viper.

While the SRC's are delightful for their details and posability. I do find myself wishing they came apart and transformed. Not much mind you. I love them for what they are. I just wish that Bandai had gone all the way and given us the transformations along with the details.

I actually love that they don't transform. it would be unnecessary cost and they would surely not be as high quality as they are now, if it's even possible at all for that size scale.

I never said I wanted a figure at that size to be fully transform able. Nor am I unrealistic in my expectations. I just wish for a nice metal figure at that detail level that is transform able. I look at the SRC's and wish for that plus the gimmicks. I like a well designed well detailed figure with the gimmickry. Wasn't that the entire question?

The only way you're going to get Sentai robots that have SRC detail and are fully transformable is through the Soul of Chogokin line - you're never going to get that through SRC. I just hope that you're prepared to spend 300 dollars minimum for it if it ever shows up. But of course. I'm more than willing to pay for the gimmicks.

so why fault the line for not doing something that it never said it would do?

I love anything I can go pew-pew-pew with...
It's the electronics I do not care for...batteries and leakage freaks me out...and forgetting them at times worries me...
