If MT only had them sharp pointy fangs like the old school Golion... it would no longer be a contest

If MT only had them sharp pointy fangs like the old school Golion... it would no longer be a contest thats a problem in my opinion man, because every one trying to copy the old Golion, they dont realize its an old toy was manufactured with old technology and this is why most of us went crazy for MT one because they improve it in so many ways, i know some people got an awful QCs but im talking in general

Comparing: I see a Mad Toys Golion and a Toynami Autobot naaah bro thats a decepticons it have an evil face yep. plus it seems Toynami's new black lion is much closer in size with the other 4 lions. As it should be.... in which the past voltron toys didnt manage to accomplish. its anime magic in the anime all the lions look the same but in real life the measurements is different oh yes,, thats why perhaps its good to give them a little props for trying to make the lion sizes as close as possible in the anime.. than just giving up without effort and use the common excuse " hey it aint possible in real life" hehehe.. anyway its an stylized voltron so toynami must have used that advantage to tweak it more..

I'm glad Toynami is trying and there are some things I like better then the MT like the face and the fact the red "T" goes across the entire chest but this is Toynami and I'll reserve judgement till I see final pictures, price, and reviews.

I just want it with Sharp teeth is all ... just thinking it would be that much more badass if it did ... Regardless... I'm still hoping Bandai gets to take a shot at the Golion SOC treatment. To this day they are still the King at what they do when it comes to toy engineering. Imagine all the goodness they did for Gaogaigar now... take that same treatment on the Golion ....

To folks that got replacment lions and didn't get them directly from MT. Did you have to ship back the lion/lions first to get them?

There might be a big chance that HL Pro will release all items that they promoted so far, and then release a new set of toys before Bandai ever gets the Voltron license.

To folks that got replacment lions and didn't get them directly from MT. Did you have to ship back the lion/lions first to get them? I'm one of those burned by Madtoys in getting a defective unit/ lion. Tony from MT don't even have the balls to reply to the emails I sent him. For their first foray to toy production, I give them a thumbs down. It's a great toy with QC issues. Toy assembly with the lion claws assembled upside down? How can anyone overlook that? Wtf? For the benefit of the doubt, I'll give them until CNY season ends. Maybe, just maybe they are busy not to reply to my email which was sent before CNY. I'll be the first to give them credit if they man up to their mistakes and provide customers with replacement parts for items which are clearly defective in nature due to their factory/ assembly line. This is what Miracle did with their Vehicle Voltron. I highly commend Miracle as a toy company for their after sales service (even they went through a lot of debacle but in the end, they made up for it). They sent me (and other RJ forum members here) replacement parts for VV with known defective parts. Sorry for the rant?

They're better, but not perfect. You need to send Tony a sh*t ton of emails to get him going. I think in total I sent 25 emails to get my parts.

Well, I've heeded your advice and sent him a few more emails just to get his "attention" ?

This reminds me of the Vehicle Voltron fiasco: 1) Releasing a subpar product and 2) Lousy customer service that would infuriate those who bought it with defects. I just saw the actual toy from a local store at $280. I might buy it for $200, given the nature of the product itself. I'd be lucky if I'll be able to get a QC-free version of it, though.

To their credit, they did follow through and send me replacement parts. However, this should have been a much simpler operation. I send an email about which parts I need, show photo evidence and then proceed to wait for either an update or a shipping notice. I wish you luck and I hope you get your parts.

Why to send and resend MT the same email over 'n over again while you can simply claim a dispute through PayPal buyer protection system?
